Vidisha - DM Injury -21

Lecturer in  Telugu  Department of Visakha College, Visakhapatnam, Tejomurthula Bharatavarsha  was awarded a PhD degree by the Andhara University.  Speaking to Times of India  here on Monday,  that Principal   Dr. Ashoka Reddy said that Bharatavarsha had submitted his PhD thesis Jataka tales. "His efforts to bring out the spiritual truth behind jataka tales is laudable." Visakha college founder and chairman Kotireddy congratulated him on getting PhD.

Rameswari the HOD of the Tellugu department finished reading the newspaper and dropped it on the table in front of her in the correspondent's room.  All the lecturers of various departments congratulated Varsha.  The college hosted a tea party. Co-founder Nagirieddy and Penchalayya were also present at the party. The city cable has  televised the program.

Bharatavarsha stepped into the classroom with Telugu text book in his hand. He saw Nandini writing " Welcome to Dr. Bharatavarsha" on the blackboard. "Thank you Nandini. Please go and take your seat." said Bharatavarsha. She did not get off the dais rather asked all the students to clap. Nandini is not only the college beauty but also the apple of the eye of the Chairman Kotireddy whom she calls uncle. The boys and girls of the class stood up from their places and started clapping. Varsha had to bear with her. A moment later when she noticed that it was embarrassing to Telugu teacher she requested all of them to stop. The students stopped clapping. Varsha smiled at her. Nandini sat down admiring his smile.

Bharatavarsha was introducing Kumarasambhavam. Kumarasambhavam was written by Kalidasa in 5th century in Sanskrit.  Kumarasambhava literally means "The Birth of Kumara. This epic of seventeen cantos which entails Sringara rasa, the rasa of love, romance, and eroticism and Veera - heroism" A student named Chaitanya raised his hand. Varsha stopped and looked at him. He was pretending shy and stood at his place.

Chaitanya : Which rasa is more sir?

Varsha : Sringara more than Vira rasa, heroism.

Varsha continued "Nanne Choda's famous work is Kumara Sambhavam in Telugu. It is perhaps written in 10th century. Kumara Sambhavam is not the translation of Kalidasa's work. He  has drawn inspiration from Kalidasa's work.

"Parvati's courtship of Shiva her marriage and love and finally the birth of Kumara" said a student. Some  students said "oh ! love story." some students said " It is a romantic love story.

Varsha smiled and continued "  Lord Shiva  so he went to perform penance on the snowy mountain. Deep in meditation. " Parvathi enters the scene with all her beauty" said Chaitanya.

Parvati doesn’t gain Shiva’s attention because she is beautiful. She gains his attention because her inner light was brilliant. she stands on hot coals.  she stands on the cold snow. During these meditations, she builds tapas, inner heat, and her own power grows so strong that Shiva, deep in his meditation, feels her presence and awakens from his meditation.

Is is not a love story? asked Chaitanya.

It is a love story but with a difference. This story shows us we can manifest our desires into reality, but we have to be willing to do the work.

Nandini : Can we get our beloved people if we work in the same way?

Sandhya : It seems that you want to try him.  He is your teacher. ( whispered)

Nandini : Look at his smile, he is my hero. ( whispered)

Bharatavarsha: Goddess Parvati meditates for 12 years.

The boys said " In our generation 12 days are enough for any girl  sir"

The girls said : One look is enough for boys sir

Varsha : STOP IT!!!!! This is class , not a park mind you!

Goddess Parvati worships Lord Shiva by virtue of relation  of previous births. The gods thought that this was the right time and sent Cupid. Lord Shiva's penance was broken due to Cupid's arrow. Nothing works. Finally Shiva marries Parvathi admiring her devotion and inner power.  Shiva and Parvati are the first couple of this world. We must not only treat them with respect but also with worship them.

Chaitanya : I think it is inter racial marriage.

Another student : Yes, Shiva belongs to Tibet

The bell rang. The teacher left the room.

Dr. Rameswari HOD, Smt Kamaswari Telugu lecturer and Smt. Sailaja Telugu Lecturer  and Bharatavarsha were sitting in the Telugu Department. Varsha was writing something. Sailaja and Kameswari were giggling at each other looking at Varsha.  Sailaja said " Muni is out of this world." Varsha accidently lifted his head and looked at them.  He looked puzzled as he did not understand why they were laughing. "You are considered Muni a sage not only by our department but also by the lecturers of other departments. said Dr. Rameswari. Suddenly Nandini came in stammering excuse me.  As she entered she said, "The students also consider him a sage Viswamitra" Thank God you have not called him Dhurvasa said Rameswari with a smile. Nandini also smiled. " tell me what has brought you here?" asked Varsha. "

Nandini: I have learned that it is your birthday." so what!" replied Varsha.

Nandini : Don't you want to celebrate?

Bharatavarsha : We have already celebrated with a tea party.

Nandini : That is for the staff but the students want to celebrate

Bharatavarsha: I don't believe in birthday celebrations

Nandini : but I believe in , I will celebrate in the class.

Bharatavarsha : Nandini, the bell rag intermission is over, go to your classroom!

Nandini: you are a great writer, soon you will become rise to national fame, then the whole nation will celebrate your birthday.  She dashed back as fast as she had come.

Dr.Rameswari smiled and said " Why don't you take leave from afternoon? There are no classes anyway.  What are you writing in English? I see you writing volumes, where from the energy comes to write in both languages?

Bharatavarsha: I celebrate my life in writing. Writing gives me unending joy. Why don't we go for the everlasting joy. Why should we rock on birthday alone?

Should we on birthday rock?

I would rather sit like a rock

under the tree of poetry

For aught you may disagree

I really have no degree

to write in such a big scale

Degrees behind the passion trail

I open my mind's treasury

and go into a state of reverie

The memories of my childhood

The movie scenes of Hollywood

I girl I kissed and the bus I missed

I remember all that  I wished

All that God to me dished

When Varsha finished Rameswari clapped. Just then Agastya entered with a newspaper in his hand. He placed the newspaper in Varsha's hands. Varsha began to read.

Odisha train accident: More than 50 passengers were injured after three bogies of a Howrah mail derailed near Palasa. The Express got derailed after hitting a bull at 16.00 hours at the level crossing after leaving Naupuda  junction.  The incident was reported from  in the early hours of Sunday There were no reports of any casualties in the incident. The accident left many passengers injured.

According to the details 4 passengers were seriously injured and the rest suffered minor injuries. the Indian Railways commented on the train accident as unfortunate  and said the re-railment process was completed at 18.00 hours passengers with minor injuries boarded the train. Passengers with major injuries were being treated at Palasa Railway hospital.

Why did you ask me to read ?

Look below the pictures of the four passengers seriously injured and admitted in hospital, one of them is my father. His name is also written.  Bharatavarsha took leave from the college and accompanied Agastya to Palasa.

                                                                   ***

Visakha railway station is very busy with passengers, trains and hawkers. It was 1.00 PM. Howrah mail ( Chennai to Howrah ) is on platform. It stays for 20 minutes on the platform. Agastya: The departure time is 1.20 PM. It reaches Palasa by 4.25.

Varsha: Be cool , Don't worry.

Agastya: Worry? never! Why should I worry about that irresponsible man. I worry about my mother, who recovered from Dengue fever just yesterday. I worry about what she thinks of me. She should excuse me. God should excuse me.  He started crying.

Varsha: Agastya please control yourself. What happened to your mother? why should she excuse you? What did you do?

Agastya : I misunderstood my mother. I suspected her. She remained patient while I was rubbing salt into her wounds. I thought she had an affair with Vikraman a rich real estate owner who gave her a luxurious flat to live without rent. There is a surprising noble reason  reason behind it. I saw it with my own eyes. She is a poor woman living a big palace.  When she was contracted with Dengue virus all the facts came into light.

Varsha said "What did you see with your own eyes? Tell me, there's still time for the train to move. Agastya explained his experience at Daskhina Chitra, his mother's  experience at Apollo and added " I did something inexcusable! The real misery was my mother did not ask me a single word about it. That aggravates my pain.

Varsha :What did you do?

I have sold out my mother's expensive keyboard to save her life. Agastya's anguish reached the peaks. The train blew a whistle. Varsha felt that the train's loud whistling is the wailing of Agastya's heart.  He hauled coals on his father " I'm going to my father to demand justice" Agastya's face turned red and  the conspicuous funereal expressions are showing vengeance.

Varsha : When your mother herself granted him freedom you are nobody to teach him sense.

Agastya : What right he has to play with a noble lady? He made her cry. He shouted emotionally.

Varsha :  Your father is like millions of other men who lack self control , who lacks respect for the ancestors. He has no keen eye nor willing to stand as a successor for the glorious past.

Agastya :Why is woman so vulnerable? Why man is always the hunter and woman is hunted?  Why is woman not powerful? Can't we empower women?

Varsha : Woman's body is work of art. Since time immemorial man wooed, hunted captivated and raped woman. History has millions of incidents of murdered men and raped women. woman's beauty inspired wars and rapes.  Rapes are as common as wars.

The British soldiers, the Russian soldiers or any soldiers are unruly.  During any war the  foremost victim was the woman. In 1944, the decisive Battle of Monte Cassino was nearing its end. It was one of the most critical battles of the Italian Campaign during World War II. the French Expeditionary Corps were under the command of General Charles de Gaulle. The French Army coming from the French Colonies in North Africa. For days they devoted themselves to raping thousands of women, teenage girls, and little girls in a frenzy of savage violence. They raped every woman from 11 to 86 years old in every town and village. Simultaneously, they took every village and town under their control.

Comfort women or comfort girls were women and girls forced into sexual slavery by the Imperial Japanese Army in occupied countries and territories before and during World War II with the objective of reducing the rapes.

In 1992  during the Bosnian war  rape was a policy of mass systemic violence targeted against women for the purpose of ethnic cleansing. 50,000 women were reported raped during Bosnian war. The number of unreported cases is much higher.

Before the British rule the Moghul rule witnessed the same trend as most Moghul rulers are nymphomaniacs, from Babur, Akbar, Shajahan  until Jahandar Shah 1712.  He  was 51 years when he ascended the throne but was a lecher in every sense of the term. His day started with endless pegs of liquor and expensive wine and ended with orgies with the countless beautiful ladies of his harem. It is estimated that there were more than 700 maids in his harem. The annual budget for the upkeep of these desirable beauties was more than  2 crore Indian Rupees! The king wanted a new, virgin maiden every night for his sexual pleasures. His trusted men used to pick out in the nights and kidnap  unsuspecting girls. It was terrifying for Delhi citizens to step out in the night with wife or daughter. Such was Delhi, then, more than 300 years back.

Oh It is really terrible but what is the solution to this?

Varsha: The key is the history and literature. Agastya : I could not understand.

Varsha smiled " Deal with your father carefully"  Agastya smiled reluctantly and got into the train. The train moved.

                                                                           ***

It was 3.00 PM when he entered Anandanilayam. "The most unexpected thing has happened" Manjusha blasted the bomb. "  The wolf is falling on the lamb." said Manjusha

What do you mean? tell me straight don't decorate with figures of speech.

Bairreddy is hunting Vidisha. said Manjusha. He went to her house and proposed to her. When she rejected her proposal he threatened her with acid attack. He also got cosy to her and ran his fore finger on her lips.

If he is such a true lover she could accept as well. other wise she can complain to the police.

Varsha: Why don't they complain to the police!  "Hmmmm! you don't understand!" said Manjusha. Varsha kept looking at her. Understand what?" He said.

Better go and talk to the MLA.  Varsha said " Nope! police complaint is the only way, we can not report it to the MLA or his brother who is a black sheep himself.  My mind is numb I will see that tomorrow. He went up the hill near his house.

                                                                      ***

The rain clouds spread across the southern skies  On Kailasagiri  173 meters from the sea level  Bharatavarsha the bard sat lonely  in the park  developed by the Visakha Metro Region Development Authority  that comprises 380 acres of land covered with flora and tropical trees. There very few visitors on the hill due to rain and the moist weather.   Rain  gave respite to the people from the terrific heat. He was watching the city from atop the hill. He felt that the blue sea was great. The city view was greater.  The silence was the greatest. The scene moved his heart. His lips began describing the silence that inspires him

  Silence

Thou art silence!  Are  you a doctor or a saint?

I don't know but you are a beautiful paint

why dewllest thou in the far away forest?

why lingerest thou on the lofty hill crest?

thou art silence! Are you a king or a queen?

I don't know but you are royal and clean

why reignst thou the lake and mountain?

why springst thou like a splendid fountain?

Thou art silence thine eye is surveillance

Thou art to wounded mind the ambulance

When mortal man can't cross mind's border

Thou bringst  mind into souls order

Silence is mind's best forest

troubled souls rest on its breast

He was walking in the garden and his legs  suddenly stopped when he spotted a love pair watching the world through the love symbol they formed  by joining their fingers. These lovers seems to have come from far. As it was getting dark, the girl was in a hurry to leave. But the boy would not leave.   A poem sprouted involuntarily from Varsha's mind

Distance

Love is distant hill

Love is Life's thrill

not a routine drill

True love has the will

Love is summer's song

Love is spring's bang

Its road is hard and long

smile and sing and walk along

If something went wrong

It moment's ping-pong

choose a different song

and try to get along

when love has the substance

it never looks for distance

Boy : Let us get married. We are in love since may years"

Girl: Let me go home, you study still more and secure good future.

Boy : In mad pursuit of tomorrow why do you neglect today?

A minor dispute erupted between them. The lovers were at argument. The emotions of the boy touched his heart.  Varsha moved away. He was walking down the hill in the faint light of the sky.  He was walking down the steps. it has some 500 steep steps. Off course there is the rope way.  Those who are completely fit prefers steps. Varsha walked down a few steps. The boy's anguish echoed in his heart.

Future future oh my future

You're my goal said my teacher

I didn't know who you are

I walked the road far and far

when I flung my youthful wing

my heart your cheerful song sang

in the sweet melodious tone

on hope's horizon you're clearly shone

After decades of flight you're still vary far

But I can't quit the fight I am still in war

Future future you are nowhere near

future future I found you in my fear

For you I drudge and drudge, and my present impledge

I pledge to remove life's wedge sitting on present's edge.

He saw his house from a distance. The ancestral house is the heaven. Writing was once his strength now it is rather his weakness. Teaching is not a job it is a social responsibility. What about my future , I never struggled so much about it. Why the girl is hell-bent on future?  If your worry is all about future, what about present?  He imagined that the future came alive and stood before him and talking to him. Why do you excessively worry about me, balderdash...

            Balderdash

You cried too much for me, poor fellow!

Balderdash ! the leaf is turning yellow!

You meditated for me since childhood

Balderdash ! you  lost it in wild-wood

knowing that I am in every tomorrow

you looked for unknown tomorrow

you heat's a burrow and mind so narrow

you lost the present for struggle and sorrow

Remember today is your birthday

Balderdash! don't think future today

I bid farewell at your birthday party

Balderdash! don't make life dirty

Remember I'm no more after sixty

Relax and live your life hearty

                                                                  ***

When Bharatavarsha entered Anandanilayam it was completely dark. He was arrested by the pink beauties with white smiles - the Radhamanohar flowers. The night was soothing his mind. A beautiful verse was flowing through his lips.   Kesava was in Varsha's study room. He was sticking the picture of his family tree beside Varsha's family tree. "All branches are empty!" said Manjusha who came in and laughed at his picture. "One day I will discover my ancestors too but bit by bit I will fill it. said Kesava confidently.

Manju:  Bit by bit I will fill it ? it seems that you are imitating your Guru.

Kesava: Good if can follow, but my guru is inimitable and illimitable.

Just then Malini stepped into the study

Manjusha : Ummm!  speaking  in alliterations!!  she turned to her mom and said " take care of Kesava he is going to be another bard in Anandanilayam.

Kesava burst out into laughter. He laughed in giggly fits and stopped when he saw the reddened face and Manjusha and said " I used assonance not alliteration."

Malini: What is the difference?

Kesava :  I saw a saw that could out saw any other saw I ever saw. This is a standard alliteration , Sister ( Manju) used  the phrase take care . The bard doesn't care the cares but cares for the blooms that bloom on the creeper.

Malini: That's fun! But what is assonance?

Kesava: Assonance is different. It is the repetition of identical or similar vowel sounds in neighbouring words.

Manju : Stop it Kesava , Stop it Mom, Look what the Bard of Anandanilayam is doing. Let's call him for dinner.  It is getting late for the dinner.

Malini and Kesava looked through the window and saw Varsha absorbed into the nature.

Kesava : He is not the bard of Anandanilayam. He is the bard whose name burns like a flame. For sure one day he will get national fame.  He is the light of world.

"Amma I am hungry!" shouted Manju " I am here " said Varsha as he stepped into the study

Varsha looked at Kesava's family tree  and said " One day you will fill your family tree with the names of your ancestors " " Whether I filled my heart with hope." replied Kesava.

Malini: With his mridangam practice Kesava dabbled into writing. He is walking in Varsha's foot steps. Birds of a feather flock together, the saying is true.

Kesava : I am writing what my Guru's verses. He is wit is spontaneous, Nature is his inspiration and Poetry is his respiration. He has hidden a poem in every step and every breath.

Manjusha : "Look Malini,  your son is a spoiled brat. He is breeding another spoiled brat." She was only trying to tease Kesava. Malini knows it so she laughed but kesava became emotional and a verse to defend his Guru.

Spoiled brat? A poet is the father of thought!

when poet sits in the den of thought

and burns the language of the heart

to write, he is no less than a scientist

whose rockets tear the sky's breast

and throws astronauts like peanuts

on to the moon and sometimes shuts

their precious life in the outer space

but a poet offers the moon in briefcase

A poem is a rocket that always falls

in the sea of reader's heart and plays

the magical flute with its melodies cute

it makes the dumb hearts unmute

to light the mind's wick poems strive

to peaks of pleasure they readers drive

In poems beautiful words dissolve grief

poems offer readers instant relief

After finishing his versified defence Kesava heard the claps. He looked at the door and saw Bharatavarsha clapping. Wonderful! He appreciated Kesava. Kesava said  I am jealous of the flowers that hear the verses. I want to hear your poems. " But I am hungry" said Manju

My mind is hungry of your poetry. Said Kesava.

Manju : You eat poems. I am going eat the whole brinjal fry. Manjusha left in a huff.

Malini laughed at her childishness and said " Varsha I will serve the dinner for both of you , come for the dinner without much delay. She left the study for the kitchen. Varsha repeated the Verse for Kesava.

  Night is a kite

God loves light God loves night

God made day with heaven's light

and filled it with darkness in the end

night is a kite that flows in the wind

with a string attached at the end

God made man god made woman

He made the man a part of the woman

The woman is filled with kindness

like the night is filled with darkness

In the well of love night is a fish

night is kite that flies in the air

night is a bird that melts in the fire

men are spartan they night never miss

Kesava looked at Varsha with owe and wonder! You are able to repeat any old verse. Your memory is mystery. soon you are going to create history. How is it possible! exclaimed Kesava. Bharatavarsha smiled coolly and started.

The River in Me

In me there is a meandering river

it flows through cracks of rocks

and opens aching  mind's locks

half beat rhythm and ditty docks

the river is long it flows since long

its path gets longer, course gets richer

from atop the hill it looks like a picture

in silent valleys the river sings a song

A beautiful porter that carries rich emotion

with vivid words it engraves great feelings

singing sacred songs with great devotion

it shares to plain hearts all its gleanings

It rushes between the hills

offering unknown thrills

Let's go for the dinner. said Varsha on hearing the sound of vessels from the kitchen.

The telephone was ringing incessantly in Damini's Hostel. Damini was climbing down the stairs. When she came to the desk the telephone was silent. The servant maid came running to the desk. "I am coming from Lakuma's room." she said.  When I am not here I told you to be at the desk." said Damini wiht angry voice. The servant maid knew that she was not really angry.  Anger is a game between them. It is the court on which they play the game of tennis - tennis of love. " The call must be important. Do you know how much they worry if we don't pick the call?" Asked Damini with more intensity in the voice. "If it is that important they don't simply worry . They call again." The servant maid said coolly.

Damini knows that it is difficult to win the maid in words. She threw a glare at her moving her lips muttering words. Damini felt beaten but she concealed  her feelings she said " Ok go mind your work but don't sit in girls rooms and chat with them. Before the maid spoke the phone had rung again. Now the maid took the receiver. " Hello! Who is on the other side? She said with hillbill accent. " Hello Saroja, Damini isn't there?" Tara's voice was clearly heard.

Damini snatched the receiver from Saroja's hands. She spoke with her friend while the maid was standing there and cut the line. "She will call after five minutes , before the phone rings go call Lakuma.  Okay said the maid and turned back.

Damini: just wait. Is Lakuma still close with the stallion?

Saroja: You asked me not to sit in girl's rooms and chat with them?

(How can I tell you these things without chatting with them)

Damini :  Chat as much as you want!"  Demon! she muttered in the end.

Saroja: YOu mean the male looking female?

Damini: Yes, She is called Magarayudu" in Telugu. In English it is Stallion.

Saroja: Lakuma is closer than before. She is on the way coming to our place.

The phone started ringing " go call Lakuma" said Damini. Saroja left.

                                                            ***

Lakuma came walking as leisurely as possible without the slightest hurry.

What is that Ambling ? come fast your mother is on the line!

Lakuma : What is the hurry!

She took the receiver and started speaking while Damini and the maid were overlooking

Lakuma: okay, okay, alright  okay okay. She kept the receiver and went back.

Damini: Okay ..okay... alright ...only those words? Are there no emotions ?

Saroja: You should not forget that a daughter is speaking with her pedantic mother

Damini : She also speaks with me.

Saroja: Pedantic mother includes any pedantic elder who bugs around the ear.

Damini : You mean I am pedantic. Am I bugging around her ear? Lakuma's mother Aruna is my childhood friend. She is a single mom. Look what ill fate is hanging over her! He story is strange! She moved from Hyderabad to Baramati where has contested for MP seat. How can she win in life with irresponsible husband? How can she win in a constituency which is not her own?

Saroja: I don't know whether she wins in her life or not? whether her husband changes for good or not but I know for sure that she will win in Baramati.

Damini: Are you a psephologist or political analyst? How can you say?

Saroja : Because I have brains, where is Baramati? It is near Mumbai? Aruna is very popular in Maharastra. Her TV serial Maya brought her recognition that she was honoured by the television channel as well as the Bombay university. More students have joined mythological courses. She is a trend setter. She has done the right thing! May the Baramati three- eyed Ganapati bless her with success.

Damini: How do know all there things!!! She was angry and started muttering. Her lips were moving. Saroja was smiling.

                                                                 ***

It was 8.00 AM. The sun was bright in the sky. Girls in Damini's hostel are sipping home made coffee, Damini has brought it. She went up the stairs and gave Lakuma a cup and came back to the reception. She sat there reading the newspaper.

I am Sneha. I have come to meet my friend Lakuma. said the person who stood at the door. Come in and sit down, said Saroja. Damini  raised her head from the newspaper and looked at Sneha in jeans and full sleeves. " This is girls hostel boys are not allowed to meet girls directly. "I am a gender fluid" said Sneha assertively.   Damini kept staring at Sneha. "Are you a girl or a boy? " she aksed.

Sneha : I am gender fluid.

What is genderfluid? She had the trouble of understanding the abstract painting. She felt that future has walked into her hostel.  Saroja went up to Damini and whispered in her ear " She is the same Stallion you talked about an hour ago. You did not see her, you only heard of her " she said. Meantime Lakuma dashed to the sofa at the entrance where she was seated. Lakuma understood Damin's dilemma, because her   dilemma lies on the surface.

Sneha is gender fluid , Aunty. Said Lakuma.

Damini looked dazed. Lakuma understood the situation  "It is very advanced concept, which is popular in America and Europe. I will explain  said Lakuma and continued " A person whose gender identity is not fixed." is called gender fluid.

Damini: What ? gender identity is not fixed? parents , doctors elders nobody could say? By seeing the baby at birth anybody can say. Don't teach math to Ramanujan , physics to Einstein and music to Tyagaraja.

Lakuma: Ah! Aunty It is not about others identifying the gender of a person. It is the gender they identify with. That person has both feelings, the person's mind is not fixed.

Damini was bamboozled as if she were telling a counterfeit ( fake currency note), It was like New York walking into Vaddadi. " I thought she was a gamine when I heard of her, When I learned that she is riding motorcycle like men I thought that she was a stallion - thought she has some male qualities of guts  but the case is different.  She is mental

Lakuma : Aunty don't talk like uneducated!

Shena: It is gender expression, rather than a sexual orientation. Your sexuality isn't defined by who you have sex with – it's about how you feel and how you choose to identify yourself. The important thing is that you choose what label feels comfortable, or you choose no label at all. I am no label girl.  Damini got fainted. Lakuma walked out with her for stunt biking. Sneha started the bike and Lakuma sat behind. The bike flew into the air.

                                                       Bike has no gender.

 City Police Commissioner's Office

The city commissioner is speaking.  Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law & Order)  Additional DCP (Crimes) ACP ( City Task Force) other officials were present on the occasion.  "Apart from the  monthly crime review meeting this special meeting is imperative which calls for a joint operation of all zones to focus on special drives on stunt biking , rash driving and bike racing. The bike racing gangs made a strong comeback.   Last Sunday on city roads around 200 people gathered on the city roads and drove rashly along  Siripuram and China Waltair geopardizing  the safety of road users at nights. Some youths forming bike stunts at Siripuram , fellow bike racers recorded videos of the stunts and shared them on social media. The videos have gone viral. I call for a major crackdown on illegal bike racing and seizure of bikes.

There was a press meet after the meeting

Assistant Commissioner of Police (East zone ) spoke to the journalists.  "Bike racing and stunt biking  in public places is illegal. Police are hell bent on curbing the bike stunts. High-end bikes have been a common sight on the Beach Road. The police are also planning to impose hefty fines ranging on the bikers. So far we have seized 30 bikes. We are calling the parents and counselling. soon we will put a check to these unlawful activities."

ACP (Traffic)  said that there is a group of about 100 youngsters who own high-end bikes maintain a WhatsApp group, they communicate in WhatsApp and other social media and they appear all of a sudden lime flash mob. The police have identified the influencers who make stunts and upload them in social media accounts.

On the long Sabbavaram flyover two bikes were speeding up.  There are red hills around. The weather was sunny. Sundeep was driving RX100. He is driving close to Bairreddy who was driving TVS Apache RTR. " Why don't you change this RX100 and take a Ninja 650?" said Bairreddy. Sundeep understood that Bairreddy want to take it. He wants to discuss Ninja 650.  How much it costs? asked Sundeep. "It costs 6.5 lakhs." replied Bairreddy. Sundeep was startled. " but it is worth the money, It has a top speed of 220kmph and nobody can ever beat you in bike racing!" said Bairreddy.

What is the need for stunt biking or bike racing ? asked Sundeep

Don't ask stupid questions, he said and suddenly accelerated his speed. Sundeep stopped.

Sundeep noticed a group of girls standing at a bus stop far away. They are the degree college girls.  Vroom....TVS Apache wizzed through the wind like a bullet from the gun.  Barirreddy was lifted the front wheel at such a speed. A hundred meters  he went past the girls but came back to the girls and did the same thing. A girl smiled at him. He felt like a victor and came back to Sundeep. They went into the palm grove gardens near by.

Sundeep : You are risking your life.  Don't you think it is fool hardy?

No, It is heroism. The other word for heroism is manliness and romance. Girls like such people as stunt drivers , racers, pilots, soldiers, studies prove that they prefer to have sex with them. Heroism is masculinity and sexuality.

Sundeep: I heard women like intellectual and well cultured men?

Bairreddy: Off course!  They are called sapiosexuals. They like Awards, PhD's.

Sundeep : what kind of women men like?

Bairreddy: Women who are interested in culture and art are attractive for men. They want to be with them more often. Kindness is and softness are more important for men.

Sundeep : Is it for that reason you are after Vidsha?

Bairreddy: Yes , She is a good artist, My appetite increases as I look at her attractive face. Her eyes are like eyes of the wild deer. Her eyebrows are cupid's bows. Her eyelids are like lotus petals. Her lips are like betel leves!

Sundeep: Stop! She is Manjusha's friend. Manjusha, Lakuma. They're all our school mates.

Bairreddy : Manjush is more lovely and more tender. She also increases my appetite.

Sundeep:  Increasing appetite ? Look Bairi! Not only your actions but also your words are understandable.

Bairreddy: You hear the clank of dishes and something sizzling on the stove. You find your mother  cooking your favourite dish with all the sweet smelling ingredients.  It smells incredible, and looks amazing. Your heart dances for  the delicious meal. Your taste buds become  activated, your mouth starts watering, your stomach responds, growling in anticipation of the next bite and you feel a strong desire for the dish.

Sundeep: If you con not control lust, lust will control you.  You are the worst lecher I have ever seen. Stop troubling Vidisha in the name of love.

Bairreddy: A girls is an instrument of pleasure like alcohol.

Sundeep : so you admit that you are a pleasure hunter?

Bairreddy: That is a form of heroism

Sundeep: If so, why don't you try Lakuma?

Bairreddy's face turned pale. Her mother has been elected MP.

Sundeep : You are a goat hunter. It is dangerous to hunt tigress

Slightly Modified

Dakshina mutry was on bed in the railway hospital. He groaned with gnawing backpain and moved painfully from one side to another.   Next to him on the bed was a man from Ganjam He too was a train accident victim. He has cervical pain. His wife and son are on his bedside. Dakshinamurty remembered his wife Meenakshi and his son Agastya.  The doctor came to the next bed. The Ganjam patient's wife and son were eagerly waiting for him.  Dakshina Murty was looking at the doctor and paying keen attention to his words. Just then Agastya came in and stood behind his father. A nurse guided him to Dakshina murty's bed. He looked at well built the middle aged man lying on the bed. Yes, it was his father. The man who bought him chocolates and gifts when he was a child. Suddenly he remembered his mother's face and her grace. He had a great sympathy for his mother. He had no sympathy for his father. The son asked about his father's position. The doctor explaining the father's condition to his son.

Doctor : Nothing to worry.  Your father needs further treatment.

Son :  How long will it take? Will he recover completely?

Doctor:  There is a cervical fracture. I have given him injection. I prescribed tablets that control pain. He can use cervical brace for a few weeks.  If the pain continues or kyphosis is formed surgery is inevitable

Son: What is kyphosis?

Doctor: It is an exaggerated, forward rounding of the upper back often seen in older people.

Son: It is hunch back?!

Don't worry, we can go for kyphoplasty it is the last answer to kyphosis.

The patient's wife : It is a big surgery?  will he be completely alright?

Doctor:  This operation  has 75 percent success rate, It costs 3,74,000 but don't worry the government pays a compensation of 34,000 to 4 lakhs.  It might come as a great relief to you. "My wife and my son are great relief to me not the money compensation." said the accident victim. His right hand is in wife's hand and the left hand in son's hand.

The son was blaming the railways for breaking the father's neck. The doctor turned to Dakshina murthy whose gaze is fixed on the mother and son. They pressed the victim's hands Dakshinamurthy felt the warmth of assurance in that gesture a family bond which he lacks. " I miss you Meenakshi" He said aloud. Agastya heard those words and said" You have not missed, you have abandoned. said Agastya. Dakshina murthy turned his head and was bewildered to see Agastya. They both heard the mother telling her son at the next bed. " There is no mistake on the Railways. When cattle comes on to the track it is merely fate"

Dakshina murthy's  eyes were fixed on Agastya. The doctor shook him and said " You have a minor spinal fracture. These vertebral fractures usually heal on their own. Otherwise you may undergo surgery. The strength of the spine can not be assured." The doctor asked him to take rest and left.  Dakshina murthy's  vision got dimmed. His eyes are filled with tears his heart is filled with gratitude for God. He longed for his son's hand. Agastya neither touched nor called him daddy. At least he did not go near.  Dakshina murty was depressed. Agastya! he called. He tried to move. He reached the edge of the bed. He groaned with the gnawing pain. When he was about to fall Agastya caught him. Dakshina murthy felt that Love and care is more important than money but it was too late. He took his father to Visakhapatnam by ambulance with doctor's permission.

Aunts - Moms- Sons and Daughters -20

Agastya was standing in the balcony of Lotus apartment. Chill wind is blowing and the black clouds are bubbling with joy. The thick black clouds reminded Ragini's long. luxuriant hair. Her healthy hair cascades down her shoulders, flows over her  terrifying bulges. He remembered Geoffrey Chaucer's "Rondel of Merciless beauty.

"Your two great eyes will slay me suddenly;

Their beauty shakes me who was once serene"

Chaucer repeats these lines. His emotions don't cross these lines. But they are not enough for my Ragini. Rondel may be beautiful but Ragini is charming. Ragini is a towering sexuality a nymphet beyond compare. Had Helen been alive she would have been jealous of ravishingly seductive Ragin. The 30 BCE Egyptian queen would accept that Ragini is the real femme fatal. Each beauty queen has her own beauty secret (like cleopatra bathes in donkey milk) but Ragini's beauty itself is a secret. She keeps her beauty hidden.   She leaves her hair loosely while drinking. When he was trying to imagine how it dances on her halfmoons a gust of chill wind touched Agastya's face and brought him out of his imagination.   He kissed the wind. He uttered a moan.  Ahaa Ragini!

He looked up at the sky. The moon that lit up the sky the previous night is out of sight

The bibulous sky absorbed the moon

The sun is showing  up in the dawn

The trouble and strife has gone

with showers rays of hope on man

Mom's condition is no more critical, She will  be discharged from hospital. She is the moon of this house and the sun of my world.   Agastya was happy. He went into the bathroom to take bath. He has many things to do. He must go see Senthil, Alas! I could not go to MGM hospital due to my mom's condition.  Later I must go to Apollo hospital to see my mom. I must find who the suspicious old lady was. Finally I must go to his Aunt Angayar to dig out the secret behind the photos she has showed him.  Agastya finished his bath and dressed up. He stood before the mirror to comb his hair.  He took the wide brush and combing from bottom up.  He stood looking his curly hair.  He was fiddling with his locks. Suddenly a smile bloomed on his pink lips as he saw the form in the mirror.  It was Angayar, the chennai aunt.

Angayar looked as beautiful as peacock in her colourful saree. Her breast is as plump as a partridge. Her eyes are as beautiful as almonds.  She doesn't hide her feminine charms like Ragini. If her curvaceous body  makes her look like rotund apple her rotund butts make her look like a honey pot. Sangam literature explores  the beauty of love and women with mesmerising  choice of words  best describes the woman's beauty . Angayar looks like the essence of Sangam beauty. Agastya lost himself in the mirror looking at Angayar.

"You are becoming a Narcissus Agastya" said Angayar. "What do you mean?" said Agastya.

Roman poet Ovid's Metamorphoses poem tells the mythical story of a handsome young man, Narcissus, who refuses the advances of many potential lovers. Eco was a nymph who fell in love with him. She was one of those whom Narcissus ignored  So the Goddess, Aphrodite  cursed him. Narcissus walked by a pool of water He saw his reflection, became entranced by it, and killed himself.

Agastya laughed and said " I am not entranced by my hair but embarrassed by it. It is hard for me to maintain my curly hair. Had I got money I would  call the Italian hair dresser Rossano Ferretti, the most expensive hair dresser in the world."

Angayar: O my my! no doubt you slipped into narcissism , you are after beauty!

Agastya: A thing of beauty is joy for ever!!!

First have  breakfast then you can think of beauty. Angayar served breakfast from the hot-pack she has brought. She put a plate on the dining  table and served in it. Agastya asked Angayar to eat. She disagreed but Agastya forced her.  Finally they ate together.

You are looking beautiful aunty,  your beauty can destroy  the walls of troy. Angayar was shy but remained calm.  It seems you have the special programme today under the guidance of Diana. Angayar blushed " Little Rascal how do you know! She showed mock anger.

All the best my my dearest aunty. You are the only one close to my heart. said Agastya.

Angayar took the empty hot-pack and ran back. When she was crossing the door Agastya said " Wish you all success!"

                                                              ***

After passing by Telugu film star Sobanbabu statue Agastya turned left at Khal's foot world and entered Nelson road where MGM hospital was located.  There are a few second hand bookstalls on the pavement. The rows of colour books caught his attention. Agastya slowed his steps. There are a few students and old men. The students are  buying competitive exam books and the old men are buying spiritual. Agastya stopped at Maran book stores where the fine array of novels with colourful covers pleasantly stole his eyeballs. His gaze is fixed on the Adultery  (Adultério in Portuguese) is a novel by Brazilian author Paulo Coelho. He bought the novel and moved.  He reached the hospital  11 storied 400 bed hospital.  he found out   while the doctors were still in rounds. He went to the  reception. while asking for Senthil he was spotted by Perumal.

How did you come here?  Agastya asked him.

"What is that senseless question?" asked Perumal.

"You don't have college today." We have Dassarrah .

"Oh You have holidays like me" said Agastya

Perumal  took him to the third floor.  Aravan and Senthil were already  there.

Senthil got up and sat in the bed when Agastya and Perumal entered.

The doctors are in rounds. said Perumal and asked Senthil " where is your father?"

My father has gone to the hospital canteen. said Senthil and shut the door.  Later the three friends briefed Agastya about their plan.  Agastya was shocked. Bhaktavatsalam who finished his breakfast came back to his son's room was equally shocked. He stood at the door and listened to the plan. He understood the demon possession drama. He beat on his chest gently and repeatedly with his open hand.

"Your teasing is too much." Agastya said to Perumal. " She is your aunt's daughter , you are showing soft corner to her. Have you forgotten how much and how long she teased us?" said Senthil. " Is it teasing? No, it is torture"  said Aravan.

"This is our reaction to her action."  said Senthil with vicious pleasure showing in his laugh.

Agastya: Whatever it is,  your  drama has gone too far ahead into your academics.

Senthil : You are advocating for Ragini.

Agastya: Yes, may be I am. Even otherwise, Think that I am  devils advocate.  You may be debarred by your college. Do you know Recently Kollam medical college in Kerala  has debarred three medical students for five years. Kerala high court upheld its decision and it is reported in the news.

Perumal : That is for the exam malpractice. Our drama has nothing to do with the college. My father is the fifth additional judge.

Senthil : My father is the District judge.  (Additional judge is subordinate to District Judge in administrative matters.) He asked me not to divulge this. He will look after everything.

Aravan : It is a wonder. The man who was crying here yesterday was District Judge.

Bhaktavatsalam senthil's father standing at the door said to himself " Oh! that is your confidence, I know how to deal with your demon drama." He left the place and met the doctors and was explaining what was happening in his son's room.

Agastya in the room was convincing them " You are the son's of great fathers who care for the sons to drop their revenge scheme.  "No, how can it be!  said Perumal.

Hardly had Perumal finished when Bhaktavatsalam and the doctors entered the room.

How is your demon? asked Dr. Bhutalingam. " What is her wish?" asked Dr. Sarabhalingam

Ennaku ethuvum Triyaadu ( I don't know anything) Senthil harped on the same string.

Agastya : How can doctors deal with demons? There is no demon actually...

Who is this boy? asked Bhaktavatsalam. " He is Agastya, our friend" said Perumal.

Dr. jambulingam: Look Agastya, dealing with devil has long been a part of medicine. Last year when I went to Amsterdam I saw children possessed by demon. they would at first be seized by a violent frenzy, then fall to the ground, their bodies wracked with painful convulsions. Once the fits had passed, the children reported no memory of them. This is  the work of the devil, Senthil has no memory in him , it must be the work of a devil.

Senthil : ennakku eduvum teriyadu. ( I don't know anything)

Dr.Sarabhalingam : Now we need exorcism.

Perumal : Yes, Ragini must come here. I have sent her message. She has to serve Senthil during his hospital stay.

Aravan : Yes, She is the reason for demon possession.

Dr Jambulingam : It takes more time to exorcise in that way. There is  hunter man in kodambakkam. He is an expert exorcist. We will take Senthil to the exorcist.

Bhaktavatsalam : It seems like mass demonic possession. Multiple exorcisms would be required. These boys also need the same treatment.

Perumal , Senthil , Aravan : You mean hunter treatment.

The act of exorcism involves the expulsion of an evil spirit or demon who has taken residence inside a person. As an activity designed to rid a person of the demonic possession. It may involve lashing , burning and piercing needles. They prick needles all over the body and do pooja. By the end of pooja the needles fall down showing that the demon has left.

SAP showed a dazed faces. Senthil said " Daddy I want to give her tit for tat because she tortured me but anyway we never guessed that the matter would take this direction.

Agastya was giggling from time to time looking at their facial feelings.

Bhaktavatsalam : give me one example of how she tortured you.

Perumal said " I was driving my car in the rain. I saw her walking. She was getting wet. I asked her to get into the car. She said that she was fascinated by rain. She wanted to go by bike. If I had bike she would go with me. I asked her to wait a few minutes. I came back with the bike but she wasn't there.

Is it  youthful or childish behaviour Bhaktavatsalam was confused but he was shocked at setting  weird tasks for the boys.  He was irritated by her non-chanlant behaviour and complained about her temerity to the Dean of the college.

"Ragini had devised a plan and it took an unexpected turn, SAP devised a drama it took an unexpected turn. Man proposes God disposes." Agastya said to himself and walked to the hospital imagining the possible consequences of Bhaktavatsalam's complaint. He took auto to Greams road.

                                                                 ***

The Auto was running towards Apollo hospital. He remembered his mother's wilted face on the bed. He felt very sorry for the in which she is living.   He remembered how she came to Visakha  with money when he was ill.  She appeared on the same day with money.  She could not save enough money for her  medical emergency. He remembered the hardships his mother had undergone due to his father.

He was turning the pages of  the novel Adultery.    It was about  women's craving for passionate sex.  The narrative, told in the first-person perspective of Linda. She begins telling readers how unfulfilled her life was even though she has the perfect life in the eyes of the society. She has a loving and rich husband, two adorable children, and is a journalist at a well-respected Swiss newspaper. Still, she feels that she needs a change. One day, she has conversation with a friend who suffers from depression. Lynda make out that her next stage is depression if she has no change in life.

Her boss sends Linda to interview a promising politician named Jacob who also happens to be an ex-boyfriend from her school days. She meets him in his office, interviews him, and is about to leave when he locks the door and kisses her. She gives him oral sex. At first, she has mixed feelings about her actions, but then she realizes that she feels better.  She likes the feeling and from that point on becomes obsessed with getting Jacob as she thinks that he is the man she loves.

Agastya could not read anymore because he wants to read about a man's perspective of Adultery. He wants to know why men get into adultery but the author is presenting a woman's perspective. It seems he is positive about Adultery. He wants to blame Adultery, blame his father. Suddenly he remembered Vikraman. Why should I not blame him? but he is helping my mother. Why should he help him. The auto stopped at the signals. He saw Diana going with somebody. He is driving Royal Enfield. She sat behind him wearing jeans.  Diana is so pretty. Angayar is beautiful but Ragini is irresistibly attractive. What will happen to her?  It is not her mistake. Is it the boys mistake. " pasi ... pasi.. baaboo pasi irike, saapatu ille. orruba kudu" ( hunger.... hunger.... no food... give me one rupee) The beggar woman was begging stretching her hand into the auto. Agastya took out five rupee note and gave it to her praying to God for the speedy recovery of his mother. The auto moved. He remembered the old woman who offered money. Who is she? The auto reached the hospital. He got down from the auto paid the money and started walking into the hospital. This is an unexpected journey is leading me to my destiny.  I should not have come here. Then who will save my mother. Amma....his inner voice cried. Tears rolled in his eyes.

                                                             ****

Meenakshi was lying on bed. Her face is somewhat fresh. The old woman who offered money is sitting by her side. Her face is not as grave as it was. She smiled  at Agastya. She started telling something to Meenakshi in Tamil. Agastya did not understand. He is Vikram's mother. Agastya folded his hands.  The nurse gave orange juice to Meenakshi. She  sat on the bed and started drinking the juice. The nurse said to Agastya "After platelet infusion your mother is out of danger. There is no fever." The old woman said something to Agastya in Tamil. Agastya did not understand. Meenakshi became the interpreter " why did you not take the money, that I offered?" Agastya looked uncomfortably. Another nurse took Meenakshi to the weighing machine to note the weight.

The old woman said something at length. Agastya could not understand. He said in Telugu " Let my mother come I don't understand Tamil" But the old woman did not understand. She continued to talk in Tamil. Agastya now said the same thing in English but the old woman did not stop. The nurse laughed and said "she doesn't understand English either. Let me  explain what she says" The nurse told Agastya that the old woman belong to Tanjavur. She has great respect for Agastya's great grandfather. Agastya was surprised.  The nurse continued " She says that your mother is like a heritage property must be held in high esteem. She is a queen without a palace" Agastya started understanding things slowly. The darkness in his mind is replaced by light. The mystery in his heart melts and the sad feelings settled in his heart flew away like doves towards bright light. A smile bloomed on his lips.....

Meenakshi came back to the bed from the weighing machine. Agastya looked at her mother with a keen eye. She looked like a queen without a throne a diamond without a casket. She saw Agastya smiling. His smile is clear. It is the mirror of his mind. Meenakshi smiled. Her smile is the celebration, it is the jubilation.   Vikram's mother who said something in Tamil again. It a a bit lengthy. Agastya understood only one word  Nalla paiyan, which means good boy.  Just then a group of doctors came and examined Meenakshi. One of them bent and touched the old woman's feet. She blessed him and said something in Tamil. Agastya looked at the nurse. She did not look at him. She was paying attention to the doctors. The chief doctor took the reports into his hands. He was slowly turning the bunch of reports. Agastya was anxiously waiting for his remarks. He opened his lips and said " Everything is alright, you can go home today. " The team left.

The nurse said " The man who touched the feet of the old woman is the chairman of the Hospital" Agastya felt that a bomb exploded in his lap. Just then a group of ten people flooded in. The chairman of the hospital came in again. Agastya understood that there were government officials. They all showered great respect on her.  They were talking very politely to her in Tamil. " What is so great about this old woman?" thought Agastya. She must be a rich woman. He could not guess more than that. While they were talking Agastya was pushed to a corner. She was introducing Meenakshi to them. The joy of meeting the old woman was apparent on their faces. One of them gave her a mini violin.  It was a Tamil movie without subtitles for Agastya.

All arrangements were made for her discharge. Just then came a tall man. Agastya understood that he is Vikraman. He greeted Meenakhi with a smile and folded hands. Meenakshi folded her hands. "I was abroad. It took some time for me to comeback. How are you now?" I am fine said Meenakshi. He asked the driver to drop Meenakshi to her house.  The government officials came to the hospital main gate. There was a small crowd of people and group of photographers at the gate. Before Meenakshi Agastya sat in the back seat the photographers took several photos. Vikraman shut the door. The car moved. The old woman was waving her hand at the car.

Mom, I have a doubt , who is that old woman? why government officials came to see her?" She is Jayanthi Ayyar the wife of Nammakkal Narasinhan. They are not government officers they are health minister and minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE). "They spoke everything in Tamil.  I could not understand" replied Agastya. That is why I asked you to learn Tamil.  Who is the  jayanthi?  asked Agastya. " I have told you that she is the wife of Namakkal Narasinhan who is the famous violin artist who received the highest civilian award Kalaimamini by the Tamilanadu government." replied Meenakshi.

Agastya remembered Nitin Gadkari visiting Latha Mangeshkar in Bombay beech Candy hospital. Oh! She has such a stature! when that thought struck his mind he was elated. His mother received such love and care from the state! This love is showered on his grandfather He fondly remembered  his grandfather. Being born to such a great mother! He remembered the depressed feelings he had when he was coming to Hospital. In sharp contrast with those depressed feelings he has ebullient feelings. He felt that this journey has helped him discover the purpose of his life. He remembered Bharatavarsha who was telling the importance of ancestors. He could not understand well at that time.

He understood the wisdom of his mother.  When Agastya was trying to ask another question Meenakshi said "tomorrow you read the newspaper you will understand everything.  She asked him " Agastya , how to you get the money to pay for the hospital bill?"  Amma I have not done anything illegal. I have not stolen, begged or borrowed. still I have done something wrong. You will know that after you reached home. You have to excuse me." said Agastya.  They reached home. When Agastya was opening the door Kunkum Agarwal came and took  Meenakshi's hands and said "  I am happy that you are back in less than a week .  I will help you in the domestic chores until you are completely alright"  Agastya opened the door they all got in. Agastya went in Meenakshi settled in the sofa. Kunkum was preparing fruit juice for Meenakshi. Just then Diana came with her sister Lulu.

"Where is your disciple?" asked Meenakshi. "She is going to Gummadipoodi this evening." Why is going there? asked a surprised Meenakshi. Diana smiled and said " She is going with her husband. I have also engaged Taxi" She winked her eye at Meenakshi. Meenakshi was shy for a while later she said " Naughty girl! you won't let them stay home,  Is it necessary to go far?"  It is practical exam for my romantic training! Change of weather is mandatory! said Diana enthusiastically.   10 year old Lulu ( short name for louveller) said " What is romantic training?" Lulu you are talking bees and birds, get away! shouted Diana. Louveller started crying. "O God! why do you scold my little darling. What did she ask?" said Meenakshi. "Bees and birds means  children talking about ummch... ummch..." Diana made loud kissing sounds in the air and winked at Meenakshi. Meenakshi twisted Diana's ear " You raunchy rascal"

His majesty who ruled the kingdom of earth sinks beyond the undulating western ridges. He casts his last rays on the tilting earth and gleams like a diamond in the western horizon.  Darkness blows its trumpet announcing the arrival of the queen - the moon. The yellow full moon looms large and low across the horizon. When the moon slowly seized the position the stars began to rock. The air blows cool but sweet. From across the orchards and orchids it carries the fragrance of fruits and flowers. The moon reaches soaring high and showers beams of bright light on towering cliffs and tall trees. The Mountains and  the mice, the ponds and the fish, the ship and the sea everything is silvery. Nothing can slip from her unyielding grip.

In the emerald garden of Gummadipoodi located far away from Chennai city where tranquillity reigns the moon rise pours joy into the love-scented hearts of Angayar and Varadachari.  Varada  the dance maestro started dancing with unprecedented romantic gungho and Angayar the music teacher began singing with unusual gusto.

The lotuses in the ponds of emerald garden smile at the par-amour.

"How sweet is the air! How romantic is the right!  This is the domain of love! Whispered Angayar in Varada's ear.  Varadachari the maestro of dance looked into Angayar's eyes. "I see fire in your eyes!  This garden is abode of love.  This lascivious villa should host our love game." He said amorously. " Our first ever love game" replied Angayar with husky voice.

The moon shows the tired world below her sweet magic.   The lush green fields and trees soak in the moonlight. The moon paints the cliffs with her silvery rays. Yellow stained and shadows enfolds the nature represent the joys and fears of Angayar's heart.

"Still unknown coldness bites me." said Varadachari. The coldness is the fear in him that springs from successive failures. "My body is a warm bed that summons you tonight. Nature  strikes her match in me. I am your hot bed. Steal the warm pleasures from me and bring my flames into control. Varada took her hand and looked into her eyes. His eyes are wild. His looks pricked Angayar. She felt like pot on fire. Varada pulled her close. She leaned on his chest. He hugged her from behind.

The gust of wind touched the night jasmine boughs  rendering the flowers fall loosely on her hair. They stay there for a while and later started slipping from the hair and tangled in her breast.  The flowers tangled in her breast are intoxicating the couple. Another gust of wind brought more flowers falling on her. They are tickling Varada but kissing her everywhere. The koel on the mango tree trilled a melody. His hands switched on to her globes. Angayar kanne turned back hugged him tight and locked her lips with his. The hug was so tight that the wind failed to get between them.

The nature was looking at the romance with bated breath. The wind sighed terribly, the horse neighed violently, the mangoes weighed heavily.  The fire within seems eternal and the hug seems to be unending. Some night jasmine flowers crushed between their packed bodies cry frantically. They could feel the rhythm of each other's hearts. Her man was hard like rock. That hard touch has ignited every cell of her body. She felt boiling heat within.  Without losing a minute she pulled him into the garden house for the most traditional and sacred activity. The next moment they were on the bed in the dim lit room.

She transformed herself into goddess Ishtar of Mesopotamia whom the Sumerians worshipped  in the third millennium BC The goddess addresses her lover as follows:

Who will plow my vulva?

Who will plow my wet ground?

As for me, the young woman,

who will plow my vulva?

Who will station the ox there?

The vulva represents the ground to be sown. Ishtar’s royal lover answers, “I, Dumuzi the King, will plow your vulva.” At fever pitch of excitement, the goddess cries, “Then plow my vulva, man of my heart!” Varadachari became the Dumuzi.  Angayar was unaware of all these things merely led by passion. The night was melting. The whole world is the fruit of the such sacred plowing.

The world that came from vulva latter bans it. The vulva fell out of favour in the ancient Greek and Roman world. Artists often depicted the phallus, but the vulva is almost nowhere to be seen.  The vulva was lost to censorship. Varadachari was doing his best but after  midnight Angayar became Messalina the most devious and sexually voracious personality reputed for promiscuity who is noted for her triumph in exhausting as many fit young men in a sexual contest. Her all-night sex competition with a male prostitute  lasted for 24 hours and Messalina won with a score of 25 partners.

Ancient Roman poet Juvenal ( Decimus Junis Juvenalis ) wrote 16 satires, divided into five books. He  mentions Messalina twice in his satires. The sixth satire contains the notorious description of how the Empress used to work clandestinely all night in a brothel under the name of the She-Wolf. The tenth satire describes how she compelled Gaius Silius to divorce his wife and marry her.  Is she Angayar has the power of she wolf.

I surrender to the spirit of the night - Samantha Fox the English pop singer's mellifluous voice is heard as the faint  waves come floating in the air.  Angayar reached the climax of her romantic game surpassing all the limitations. she reached the pinnacle of pleasure  and achieved a perfect orgasm  and extreme relaxation that resulted in sound sleep.

When she opened her eyes it was dawn. She saw through the window. There is no moon in the sky. She thought perhaps it was melted in the love.
