Poolabala quotes - 2023

These quotes written on 1st Jan 2023 are not aimed at amusing or insulting anybody. These quotes are expression of my personality, product of my deep thought and my concern for the thoughtless education. It is my quest to explore the truth.  Truth is to education as faith is to love.

Truth is life of both education and life.  Truth denied is education denied. Truth  can not be seen with eyes but mind. Truth is the sun the never dawns in the world of ignorance protected by (fake) education.

Truth about education

In India education a host of compulsory lies.

Indian secularism is the gallows on which the Hindus are hanged.

Truth about Indian Secularism

Muslim personal Law board was in introduced by (10th class failed) Indira Gandhi in 1973. Can a secular country have Muslim personal law board? Muslims can marry four women.  Can Hindu's marry two women? No, Nehru passed a bill against Hindu polygamy in 1955.

Hindu culture and traditions are assaulted by unequal laws. Hindu temples are ruled by government and crores of the temple revenue is used to subsidies the religious travels of Muslims and Christians. One might think that all this is done to help minorities. If you are so intelligent (or innocent)look at the Hindu population in the following states.

Mizoram 2.75%, Lakshadweep 2.77%, Nagaland 8.74%,  Meghalaya – (11.52%), Ladakh – (12.11%), Jammu and Kashmir – (28.8%)

Here Hindus are not considered minority and minority benefits are not given to them. Yet Hindus can not speak. The word Hindu has been made so shameful the fate of Hindus has been made so miserable ( by whom?) Educators. what kind of educators we have who train children for ration so this generation needs Truth. The truth which education can not give.

QUOTE -1

CINEMA ACTORS ARE THE SCIENTISTS AND
 FREEDOM FIGHTERS OF ANDHRAPRADESH

SUPER STARS, MEGASTAR, POWER STARS ARE OUR GODS.

My student Santosh has responded to the above quote and wrote the following :

Cinema actors are not scientists, cinema directors, screenplay writers, story writers, content creators are scientists. They are projecting cinema actors like freedom fighters on the sliver screen. They are attracting the young minds to criminal and sexual content. They are making offensive language and behaviour normal and popular.

They are  attacking the society and its traditions by  the hero characterization. His  reckless and contemptuous attitude towards the elders,  teachers  and senior members of the society is tinged with heroism.  They are effacing the thin line between a rogue and a scholar , and an out-law and a gentleman.

Our poor youngsters are modelling on them. They don't get the reality what they see on the silver screen is reality to them. The school should educate them against cinema but they are busy with exams and marks. Under such circumstances it is easy for a Pak terrorist to become a star and grab political power.

In early days cinema  used to entertain and educate the people.   The films like Mayabazar and Pandava Vanavasam  gave knowledge about our traditions and Itihasas. Today cinema only targeting on  box-office numbers not on content and ethics like school that focus on marks and academic success.

James Cameron is a Canadian filmmaker. He made the film  ‘Avatar’ about 10 years ago. The idea of making ‘Avatar’ is inspired by the ‘Bhagavad gita. It is the part of the epic ‘Mahabaratha’.  Avatar characters and theme are inspired by Mahabaratha the great hindu scripture.  International film  makers  are making films  inspired by Hindu tradition our film makers absconding form our traditions .

They are interested showing the stories of rowdies and factionists with  fake love and affection on silver screens often insulting Gurus and Gods. On screens actors are projected as Gods  who save people from problems. In sharp contrast with the reel life actors in real life are below ordinary and sometimes mean men.  But in reality they looting money in the name of fame. Most of them don't pay income tax.

People must be ashamed of celebrating cinema actors birthdays and doing cake cuttings keeping flexis  on roads, doing bike rallies and above all doing Palabheshekam for their hero cut-outs. It is a shame on schools.

Two years ago Tamil star Vijay's house was searched by income tax officers. They were shocked to find 66 crores black money. It is not black money. It is public money. This incident shook the entire Tamil state  but the pity is that the  public started admiring him more after this incident. Cinema actors  fight for justice for the poor on the silver screen but in real life  they fight for themselves and for their own justice.

They care a fig for the public. But the public blindly worship them and behave like slaves leaving  precious gift of freedom  given to them by freedom fighters. People proudly proclaim that they are the fans of such worthless actors by celebrating their birthdays with great pomp.  When it comes to freedom fighters' and great leaders' birthdays, people are either uninterested or casual. What a shame!

QUOTE -2

PEOPLE OF NO OTHER RELIGION REGRET

AS MUCH AS HINDUS FOR BEING WHAT THAT ARE

"People of no other religion regret as much as Hindus for being what they are."

This quote is not an attack on any religion; it is an invitation to reflect on cultural confidence. Every civilization faces periods when its people either cherish their heritage or begin to undervalue it. The author suggests that a section of Hindus sometimes hesitate to appreciate their own traditions while readily admiring foreign cultures. Such hesitation may arise from colonial history, changing educational priorities, globalization, or the influence of popular media.

History shows that great civilizations progress when they preserve their identity while remaining open to new ideas. India has contributed immensely to philosophy, mathematics, literature, yoga, medicine, and spirituality. These achievements deserve neither blind glorification nor neglect, but honest study and balanced appreciation.

At the same time, genuine pride should never become arrogance. Respect for one's own culture must go hand in hand with respect for the beliefs and traditions of others. A confident society learns from the world without losing its roots. It values its language, history, and customs while embracing scientific inquiry and social reform.

The real message of this quote is that self-respect is essential for any civilization. A community that understands its heritage objectively is better equipped to contribute positively to humanity than one that either blindly worships or unnecessarily despises its own past.

QUOTE -3

A SCHOOL HAS NO BRAIN OF ITS OWN.
IT IS PROGRAMMED BY MNC DRIVEN JOB MARKET

A school is often regarded as a temple of learning, yet its curriculum is rarely created in isolation. It evolves according to the economic and social priorities of its time. This quote argues that modern education is increasingly shaped by the demands of multinational corporations rather than by the broader purpose of developing thoughtful, creative, and responsible human beings.

In many countries, schools place enormous emphasis on examinations, technical skills, coding, communication, and employability. These are undoubtedly valuable, but they can overshadow philosophy, literature, history, ethics, music, and the arts. Students are trained to become efficient employees rather than independent thinkers. Success is frequently measured by salary packages and campus placements instead of wisdom, character, or service to society.

History offers a different vision of education. Ancient centres of learning such as Nalanda Mahavihara encouraged inquiry into philosophy, science, mathematics, medicine, and spirituality. Their purpose was to cultivate knowledge, not merely prepare students for employment. Similarly, many great scientists, writers, and reformers emerged because they questioned accepted ideas instead of simply acquiring marketable skills.

Employment is essential, but education should not become a factory that produces workers alone. A truly enlightened school prepares students not only to earn a living but also to think critically, act ethically, appreciate culture, and contribute meaningfully to society. The job market should influence education, but it should never become its sole architect.

QUOTE -4
SOME PEOPLE SEND THEIR CHILDREN TO MISSIONARY SCHOOLS
FOR STUDIES AND MNC COMPANIES FOR JOBS
AND TEACH PATRIOTISM IN SOCIAL MEDIA

"Some People Send Their Children to Missionary Schools for Studies and MNC Companies for Jobs, and Teach Patriotism on Social Media."

This quote highlights what the author sees as a contradiction between public rhetoric and private choices. It suggests that some people passionately advocate patriotism online while relying on institutions and opportunities they publicly criticize. The quote invites readers to examine whether patriotism is merely a slogan or a way of life.

Parents naturally seek the best education and career opportunities for their children. If they believe a particular school offers quality education or that a multinational company provides rewarding employment, choosing those options is understandable. At the same time, patriotism is demonstrated not only through words but also through everyday actions—respecting the law, paying taxes honestly, protecting public property, serving society, and contributing to the nation's progress.

Social media has made it easy to express strong opinions with a single post, but genuine commitment to one's country requires consistency between belief and conduct. A person may work for a global company and still contribute significantly to national development through innovation, ethical work, and public service. Likewise, attending a missionary school does not determine one's love for the country.

The real challenge is not where one studies or works, but whether one's education, profession, and public statements reflect integrity. Patriotism is most meaningful when it is practiced through responsible citizenship rather than performed only in speeches or social media posts.

QUOTE -5
WE GO UP TO SCHOOL , NOT UP TO KNOWLEDGE
FORGET ABOUT KNOWLEDGE, WE DON'T GO UP TO
READING AND WRITING. THINKING???

This quote questions the true purpose of education. A student may progress from one class to another every year, yet promotion does not necessarily mean intellectual growth. The author argues that many students pursue certificates rather than knowledge, and many parents measure success primarily by securing a well-paid job instead of developing an educated mind.

Education begins with reading, writing, and thinking. Reading introduces new ideas, writing sharpens expression, and thinking enables a person to question, analyse, and innovate. Without these three foundations, even a university degree may become only a piece of paper. Employers may recruit graduates, but society needs citizens who can solve problems, make ethical decisions, and contribute original ideas.

In India, concerns have often been raised that some students complete many years of schooling while still struggling with basic literacy or numeracy. This gap reminds us that educational success cannot be measured only by examination marks or the number of degrees earned. A nation becomes truly educated when its people are curious, thoughtful, and lifelong learners.

Schools should certainly prepare students for employment, but they must first prepare them for life. Jobs provide income; knowledge provides wisdom. A degree may open the door to a career, but the ability to read deeply, write clearly, and think independently opens the door to civilization itself.

QUOTE -7

IF YOU WANT TO SEE ANIMALS DON'T GO TO ZOO
TAKE A BIKE AND GO ON TO THE ROAD

This quote uses irony to criticize irresponsible behaviour on public roads. It does not compare people to animals because of their worth, but because some individuals abandon discipline, patience, and respect for others when they are behind the wheel. The road, which should symbolize order and cooperation, often becomes a place where selfishness overpowers civic responsibility.

Every day, one can witness reckless speeding, dangerous overtaking, jumping traffic signals, riding without helmets, driving under the influence of alcohol, and using mobile phones while driving. Such actions endanger not only the offender but also innocent pedestrians, cyclists, and fellow motorists. A single moment of carelessness can destroy an entire family.

A civilized society is recognized not merely by its highways but by the behaviour of the people who use them. Traffic rules are not obstacles to freedom; they are agreements that protect everyone's life. Respecting lanes, obeying signals, and showing courtesy to other road users require character more than skill.

The real message of this quote is that education is incomplete if it does not produce responsible citizens. Good manners are tested not in classrooms but in everyday life. The road is a mirror of society. If we wish to build a better nation, we must first learn to drive with patience, discipline, and respect for human life.

LAW ROARS LIKE A LION BEFORE THE ORDINARY
BUT BARKS LIKE A DOG AT STALIN, HITLER AND THE LIKE

This quote reflects a long-standing concern about the unequal application of law. The ideal of justice is that every person, regardless of wealth, power, or position, should be subject to the same legal standards. History, however, shows that laws are often enforced more strictly against ordinary citizens than against those who command armies, governments, or vast political influence.

The dictators Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin ruled through fear, censorship, and the concentration of power. During their rule, legal institutions were weakened or subordinated to the state, making it difficult for courts or officials to hold those at the top accountable. Similar patterns have appeared in different countries and eras whenever political power overwhelms independent institutions.

Yet the failure of law under authoritarian rule should not be mistaken for the failure of justice itself. Strong democracies strive to ensure that judges, investigators, and law enforcement remain independent so that no individual is above the law. Although no legal system is perfect, the rule of law is strongest when it protects both the powerless and the powerful by applying the same principles to all.

The enduring lesson of this quote is that justice loses its moral authority when it becomes selective. A society is truly free only when the law speaks with the same voice to the common citizen and to the most powerful ruler.

9. THE MOST CONVINCINGLY TOLD LIE IS ALL ARE EQUAL BEFORE LAW.

Equality before the law is one of the noblest ideals of civilization. Most constitutions promise that every citizen, whether rich or poor, powerful or powerless, will receive equal justice. Yet history repeatedly reminds us that this ideal has often been difficult to achieve.

In ancient societies, kings and emperors frequently stood above the law. During the reign of Louis XIV, royal authority was so dominant that the monarch's will often outweighed legal restraint. In the twentieth century, dictators such as Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin controlled courts, police, and state institutions, leaving ordinary citizens with little legal protection. Under systems where power overwhelms independent institutions, justice becomes selective rather than impartial.

History also records racial segregation in the United States before the Civil Rights Movement, when African Americans were often denied equal protection despite constitutional guarantees. In South Africa under Apartheid, the law itself treated people differently according to race.

These examples do not prove that equality before the law is false; rather, they show how often societies have failed to live up to that principle. The promise of equal justice remains an aspiration that must be defended continuously through independent courts, accountable governments, and vigilant citizens.

The strength of a nation is measured not by the laws written in its books, but by the courage with which those laws are applied to both the weakest citizen and the most powerful leader.

10. ENTITY OF CRIMINALS IN POLITICS ADDS MORALITY TO CRIMINALITY

"Entry of Criminals into Politics Adds Morality to Criminality."

This quote argues that when individuals with criminal backgrounds or criminal methods acquire political power, their actions often gain an appearance of legitimacy. A crime committed by an ordinary citizen is punished by law, but when similar acts are carried out under the authority of the state, they may be defended as policy, security, or political necessity. Power has the ability not only to command obedience but also to reshape public perception.

History offers many examples of rulers who misused political authority. Adolf Hitler came to power through constitutional means but transformed Germany into a dictatorship, suppressing dissent, persecuting minorities, and leading the world into the World War II. Joseph Stalin used state institutions to imprison, exile, and execute perceived opponents during political purges. Benito Mussolini weakened democratic institutions and ruled through intimidation. In more recent times, corruption scandals in many democracies have shown how some elected officials misuse public office for personal enrichment, proving that abuse of power is not confined to dictatorships alone.

At the same time, it is important to distinguish between accusation and guilt. In democratic societies, some politicians face criminal charges that are later dismissed or found to be politically motivated. Therefore, the rule of law and due process must remain central to any judgment.

Politics should elevate morality, not provide shelter for criminality. A healthy democracy depends upon leaders whose integrity inspires public trust. When political power becomes a shield for unlawful conduct, citizens lose confidence not only in politicians but also in the institutions that sustain democracy.

                                                                       QUOTE -11

FATALISM AND APATHY ARE SIBLINGS BOTH ARE ORNAMENTS TO HINDUISM

This quote is intended to provoke reflection on the relationship between belief and action. Rather than describing an entire religion, it raises a concern that excessive dependence on fate can sometimes discourage individual initiative. Throughout history, philosophers and social reformers have warned that when people attribute every success and failure solely to destiny, they may become indifferent to injustice, poverty, or social change.

Indian history, however, presents a more complex picture. The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita emphasize karma—the importance of performing one's duty with dedication rather than remaining inactive. Reformers such as Swami Vivekananda called upon people to develop strength, courage, and self-confidence, while Mahatma Gandhi transformed spiritual conviction into one of the world's largest non-violent political movements. Their lives demonstrate that faith and action can coexist.

At the same time, history also shows that social progress slows whenever people accept injustice as unchangeable. Whether in matters of education, caste discrimination, corruption, or poverty, passive acceptance can delay necessary reform. This challenge is not unique to one religion or one civilization; similar attitudes have appeared in many societies across the world.

The deeper message of the quote is that no society advances through resignation alone. Faith should inspire responsibility rather than passivity, and tradition should encourage moral action rather than indifference. A civilization flourishes when its people combine spiritual reflection with the courage to question, reform, and act.

                                                           QUOTE -12
THE BROKEN ROADS ARE SYMBOL OF POLITICAL JOBBERYPOETIC JUSTICE TO THE PUBLIC CORRUPTION

Roads are the arteries of a nation. Their condition reflects not only engineering standards but also the quality of governance. A broken road is often more than damaged asphalt; it can symbolize poor planning, corruption in public contracts, weak supervision, and neglect of public welfare. When funds meant for infrastructure are wasted or mismanaged, ordinary citizens ultimately bear the cost through accidents, injuries, lost livelihoods, and deaths.

The human cost is staggering. According to the World Health Organization, approximately 1.19 million people die every year in road traffic crashes worldwide, making road injuries one of the leading causes of death among young people. In India alone, more than 172,000 people lost their lives in road accidents in 2023, averaging about 474 deaths every day.

History records several tragedies linked to unsafe roads and infrastructure. The Puisseguin road collision in France claimed 43 lives, while the Schoharie limousine crash in the United States exposed failures in vehicle oversight and regulation. In India, numerous bus accidents in hilly regions and on poorly maintained highways have repeatedly highlighted the combined consequences of inadequate infrastructure, unsafe driving, and weak enforcement.

Good roads alone cannot eliminate accidents, nor can strict traffic laws succeed without responsible citizens. Lasting road safety requires honest public administration, transparent infrastructure projects, rigorous maintenance, effective law enforcement, and disciplined road users. Every pothole left unrepaired and every safety standard ignored reminds us that the price of negligence is often paid not in money, but in human lives.

QUOTE -13

WHEN YOU ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING GREATYOUR FAKE FRIENDS ESCAPE LIKE GAS FROM THE ASS

This quote uses crude humour to express a serious observation about human relationships. The central idea is that success often reveals the true nature of friendship. Many people appear supportive while they expect to benefit from someone, but when that person achieves distinction through talent, hard work, or independent thinking, envy quietly replaces admiration. Instead of celebrating another's success, false friends withdraw, criticize from a distance, or pretend the achievement has little value.

History offers many examples. Nikola Tesla was admired for his brilliance but also experienced isolation and rivalry. Galileo Galilei found that many who once accepted conventional ideas turned against him when his discoveries challenged established beliefs. Great writers, artists, and reformers have often discovered that genuine appreciation grows only after perseverance through criticism and loneliness.

True friendship is not tested during failure alone; it is tested even more during success. A real friend rejoices when another rises higher, offers honest criticism without jealousy, and remains loyal whether recognition comes or not. False friends, however, disappear when they can no longer control, influence, or share the credit for another person's accomplishments.

The deeper message of this quote is that success acts as a mirror. It not only reveals one's own potential but also exposes the authenticity of the people who surround us.

QUOTE -14

TERRORISTS GET JUSTICE OVER NIGHT WHILE THE POOR AND INNOCENT DIE IN WAITING

"Terrorists Get Justice Overnight While the Poor and Innocent Die in Waiting."

This quote expresses public frustration over the unequal pace of justice. It suggests that cases involving terrorism, political violence, or national security often receive immediate attention because governments mobilize special investigators, prosecutors, and courts. Meanwhile, millions of ordinary citizens wait years—and sometimes decades—for justice in disputes involving land, wages, family matters, crime, or compensation. Whether or not every high-profile case is resolved quickly, the perception of unequal urgency weakens public confidence in the judiciary.

The scale of judicial delay is alarming. India has one of the world's largest court backlogs. By the end of 2025, more than 54 million cases were pending across the Supreme Court, High Courts, and subordinate courts. Nearly 48 million of these were pending in district and subordinate courts alone. Many litigants spend years attending hearings, paying legal expenses, and waiting for final judgments. Some cases continue for decades and outlive the original parties.

Judicial delay is not unique to India. France has frequently faced criticism for lengthy criminal and civil proceedings, especially in complex financial and administrative cases, prompting repeated judicial reforms. Germany enjoys one of Europe's more efficient judicial systems, yet prosecutors and judges have recently warned of growing criminal case backlogs exceeding one million pending investigations and prosecutions, largely because of staff shortages and increasing workloads.

History demonstrates the tragic consequences of delayed justice. Families affected by disasters such as the Bhopal Gas Tragedy waited decades for legal closure and compensation. Victims of many terrorist attacks, communal riots, financial frauds, and mass disasters in different countries have similarly endured prolonged trials before obtaining final judgments.

Justice delayed is not merely an administrative problem; it is a social injustice. Courts exist to protect the powerless as much as to punish the guilty. A nation truly governed by the rule of law must ensure that the poor are not condemned to spend a lifetime waiting for justice while only the most sensational cases receive immediate attention. Equality before the law is meaningful only when justice is not only fair, but also timely.

QUOTE -15
ELIMINATION OF THINKING IS THE REMARKABLE        PROGRESS THAT EDUCATION HAS ACHIEVED IN INDIA

The primary purpose of education is not to fill young minds with information but to teach them how to think. A nation advances when its schools cultivate curiosity, imagination, critical reasoning, and the courage to question accepted ideas. Yet a significant part of India's examination culture has often rewarded memorization more than understanding. The remarkable achievement of much of the system is not the cultivation of thinkers but the production of excellent memorizers. For millions of students, success depends less on interpreting ideas than on reproducing textbook answers or selecting the correct option from multiple-choice questions.

By contrast, Japan emphasizes disciplined learning, collaborative problem-solving, and applying knowledge to real-life situations. Students are encouraged to explain their reasoning, work in groups, and improve continuously through reflection rather than merely preparing for examinations.

In the Netherlands, classrooms encourage debate, independent research, and project-based learning. Teachers value original thinking and the ability to defend an argument with evidence. Assessment often includes presentations, reports, and practical work alongside written examinations.

Germany combines academic education with one of the world's strongest vocational training systems. Through its dual education model, students divide their time between classrooms and workplaces, acquiring practical skills, technical competence, and analytical ability instead of relying solely on theoretical knowledge.

In Spain, education increasingly emphasizes competence-based learning, teamwork, communication, and creativity. Students are encouraged to analyse, discuss, and solve problems instead of simply memorizing facts.

These countries recognize a simple truth: knowledge stored in memory has limited value unless it can be analysed, questioned, and applied. Their classrooms aim to produce innovators, engineers, researchers, artists, and entrepreneurs—not merely successful examinees.

India possesses extraordinary intellectual talent. Its scientists, writers, entrepreneurs, and engineers have earned global recognition despite the limitations of the examination system. Imagine the nation's potential if examinations rewarded originality as much as memory, reasoning as much as repetition, and creativity as much as conformity.

A nation becomes prosperous not when its students remember every answer, but when they dare to ask questions that no textbook has yet answered.

QUOTE -16

DEATH SEEMS UNIMPORTATN IN EVERYDAY LIFE LIKE NANO SECOND

QUOTE-17

ADULTERY IS BETTER THAN UNJUST MARRIAGE

Marriage is often regarded as the foundation of family and society, but it deserves that respect only when it is built upon justice, equality, love, and mutual respect. A marriage that is filled with abuse, humiliation, betrayal, or constant conflict ceases to be a blessing and becomes a burden. In such circumstances, a life of voluntary celibacy is often wiser and more dignified than living in an unjust marriage.

History offers many examples. Diana, Princess of Wales endured emotional loneliness and public humiliation in her marriage to Charles III. Tina Turner survived years of severe domestic abuse during her marriage to Ike Turner. Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown struggled with addiction and repeated conflict. Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil experienced a destructive relationship marked by substance abuse. Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio separated after a brief marriage characterized by jealousy and conflict. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton shared an intensely passionate but turbulent marriage that ended in divorce twice. Princess Margaret and Antony Armstrong-Jones endured years of marital discord before divorcing. Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera lived through repeated infidelities and emotional suffering despite their artistic brilliance.

These examples do not suggest that marriage itself is flawed. Rather, they demonstrate that fame, wealth, beauty, or power cannot compensate for the absence of justice and mutual respect. An unjust marriage can imprison the mind, destroy self-respect, and leave lifelong emotional scars.

A just marriage is one of humanity's greatest blessings. But when justice, dignity, and compassion disappear, the institution loses its moral purpose. It is better to remain unmarried than to sacrifice one's freedom, peace, and self-respect in an unjust marriage.

QUOTE -18

MEDIA ENJOYS THE FREEDOM OF RAPING FREEDOM OF SPEECH

QUOTE -19

IF YOU READ PURANAS AND SACRED BOOKS
DONT  SHARE YOUR VIEWS ABOUT SUCH STORIES

Sacred books such as the Bible, the Quran, and the Hindu Puranas have shaped civilizations for centuries. They contain profound spiritual teachings, moral principles, historical traditions, and narratives that believers hold sacred. At the same time, many passages have been interpreted differently by scholars, believers, skeptics, and critics. As a result, public discussion of these texts can become deeply controversial.

History shows that criticism of sacred texts has sometimes led to intense social conflict. In 1989, the publication of The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie sparked worldwide protests and threats. In 2005, cartoons published by the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten triggered demonstrations in several countries. In 2015, the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo was attacked by terrorists after publishing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. Twelve people were killed, and millions responded with the slogan "Je suis Charlie", expressing solidarity with the victims and support for freedom of expression. The attack became a global symbol of the tension between free speech and religious sensitivities.

A democratic society must protect both the freedom to examine and criticize ideas and the right of individuals to practice their religion without intimidation. Disagreement over beliefs should be answered with dialogue, scholarship, debate, or peaceful protest—not threats or violence. Civilizations progress when ideas are discussed openly and respectfully, while every person's dignity and safety are equally protected.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sacred books such as the Bible, the Quran, and the Hindu Puranas have profoundly influenced civilizations for centuries. They provide spiritual guidance, moral teachings, and cultural identity to billions of people. At the same time, some passages have been interpreted differently by scholars, believers, and critics. As a result, public discussion of these texts can become highly controversial.

History contains many examples. In 1989, Salman Rushdie published The Satanic Verses, leading to worldwide protests, threats, and a fatwa calling for his death. Taslima Nasrin faced violent protests, death threats, and years of exile after writing critically about religious practices and women's rights in her novel Lajja and in her essays. In 2005, cartoons published by the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten provoked demonstrations in several countries. In 2015, terrorists attacked the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing twelve people. The slogan "Je suis Charlie" became an international expression of solidarity with the victims and support for freedom of expression.

These events demonstrate that debates over sacred texts can have serious social consequences. A democratic society must protect both freedom of expression and freedom of religion. People have the right to question, interpret, or criticize ideas, just as believers have the right to practice their faith peacefully. Disagreements should be resolved through reasoned debate, scholarship, and peaceful dialogue—not intimidation, censorship, or violence.

QUOTE-20

UNBIASED THINKING IS THE BEGINNING OF FREEDOM

Unbiased Thinking Is the Beginning of Freedom

Freedom is often understood as the absence of political oppression or physical restraint. Yet the deepest form of freedom begins within the human mind. A person who cannot think independently remains a prisoner of prejudice, propaganda, superstition, or blind conformity, regardless of the political system under which they live. Unbiased thinking is therefore the beginning of true freedom.

An unbiased mind does not accept or reject ideas simply because they come from a particular religion, political party, nation, or tradition. Instead, it examines evidence, listens to different viewpoints, and reaches conclusions through reason. Such thinking encourages intellectual honesty, scientific inquiry, and social progress. Nearly every great advance in human civilization has begun with someone willing to question accepted beliefs.

Unbiased thinking does not require abandoning one's values or traditions. Rather, it demands the humility to recognize that every belief, including our own, can be examined critically and understood more deeply. This approach strengthens knowledge rather than weakening it.

A free society depends not only on freedom of speech but also on freedom of thought. When individuals cultivate open minds, they become less vulnerable to manipulation and more capable of making wise decisions. The path to a just and enlightened society begins with citizens who have the courage to think independently, fairly, and without prejudice.

QUOTE -21

IT IS EASY TO SPEAK OPINIONS NOT FACTS
BECAUSE FACTS NEED DATA AND STATISTICS

It is easy to express opinions. Every individual has beliefs, preferences, and personal judgments. However, speaking facts is far more difficult because facts cannot rest on emotion or assumption. They require evidence, reliable data, verified statistics, and careful analysis. An opinion may persuade those who already agree with us, but a fact must withstand scrutiny from everyone.

In the age of social media, opinions spread rapidly. Many people confidently discuss politics, economics, religion, education, and science without examining reliable sources. As a result, misinformation often travels faster than truth. Facts, by contrast, demand patience. Researchers collect data, compare evidence, verify sources, and test conclusions before presenting them. This process is slower but far more trustworthy.

A mature thinker distinguishes clearly between opinion and evidence. Opinions may inspire discussion, but public policy, scientific discovery, and judicial decisions should be guided by facts rather than assumptions. Statistics, historical records, experiments, and credible documentation provide a stronger foundation for truth than personal conviction alone.

Progress in every field depends on respect for evidence. Societies become wiser when citizens ask, "What is the evidence?" before asking, "What is my opinion?" The search for facts requires humility, intellectual honesty, and rigorous inquiry. While everyone is entitled to an opinion, only evidence can transform an opinion into a credible and persuasive argument.

QUOTE -100

CONFIDENCE OR KNOWLEDGE DON'T COME OVER NIGHT.

The following paragraph is written by Dr. Manmohan gosh, Culcutta University,  in the preface of his Natyashastra which he translated from Sanskrit to English.

From my first serious acquaintance with Natyashastra happened in 1925.  But it was only a few later in 1934 I came to believe that the 'entire work could be translated into English. It was, however, only after making some actual progress in translation that I realised the difficulty of the task. As I went on translating I gained the confidence that the complete English translation was possible. Finally the English translation of the Natyashastra was entrusted to me in1944, by the Royal Asiatic Society.

1924  first acquaintance. 1934  believed that he could translate and started work. in 1944 he got the complete confidence. in 1944 it was given to him for translation. He started translation with the help of  other professors and finished it in 1950.

The authorship of this Sanskrit treatise on the performing arts, composed of 36 chapters dates back to the 1st millennium BCE. Manmohan Ghosh is an Indian Sanskrit scholar and historian and literary translator and the author of numerous history books and translations, including Nandikeshwar's Abhinayadarpanam : A manual of gesture and posture used in Hindu dance and drama.

It took 19 years for a great scholar to gain  confidence. Confidence and  knowledge don't come over night. Keep working over a period of time you get them

  7. Schools these days are factories that manufacture same type of goods. Ex robots. The prototype same every where. School always doesn't refer to some organization. Its the parents who are setting up the expectations to the so called organization. It is parents who are rubbing their desires on kids/ deciding how they should be functioning. Only such schools are getting name and fame. Thats the only way to become a prominent organizations as of today. Schools with out a play ground are poultry farms. Adorable, intelligent, cute kids and their intellectual brains are getting trained to run behind the ranks. Instead of enjoying the learning they receive, All the creativity in them is being wasted in schools by filling their brains with irrelevant topics. Generally people go to gyms to lift weights. But kids are going schools to lift their heavy bags. Schools project that if you get a rank/get a seat then only you(pupil) are successful. Its a parameter to calibrate your success. Education provided in schools today doesn't teach you the behavioral/social eliments needed to build society. If someone dont secure good rank or pass they are ill treated. They are not even considered as a human being. syllabus wont change for decades as they say same old school. No brainstorming done to improve current education system.
Parents are ready to pay in lakhs for wasting their kids time, knowledge, creativity, charecter at the cost of ranks/marks. Schools need to demonstrate the real world scenarios, handy crafts to childern so they understand todays scocity and its needs. They need to tech the kids current problems of the society. Many other aspects need to changed by taking the reference of gurukuls in the past. Personlity develoment should be the ultimate goal of the schools. Helping others, Contributing to society, solutions to modrenday problems should be the primary focus of schools.

PROGRESS THAT EDUCATION HAS ACHIEVED IN INDIA"

  11. My favourite quote is:
Adultery is better than unjust marriage
Adultery: Adultery involves engaging in sexual relations with someone other than one's spouse.
It is often considered morally wrong and can have significant consequences within marriages,
    including emotional pain, broken trust.
Unjust Marriage: An unjust marriage can refer to a marriage that is not based on mutual respect, understanding, or consent.
This could include marriages where one partner is forced into the union,
where there is abuse or exploitation present, or where there is a lack of equality and fairness.
It's essential to recognize that both adultery and unjust marriages can cause harm and suffering to individuals involved and their families.
