Author Poolabala Visits Chukkapalli School

Today I went to Chukkkapalli School near Nunna as chief guest of English and foreign languages skills program. I have taken leave from my work to meet the big group of young learners located 40 kilometers from my house in Vanukuru.  

Kesarapalli to Adivinekkalam Via Mustabad.  

The astounding beauty of nature is eye catching. Many a pleasant scenery dance before your eyes.          I went to kesarapalli from Vanukuru and from there I took the road to Adivinekkalam where Chukkapalli School is located.  In the sprawling campus with  tall green trees I parked my car.  I took all my major books and  got down.  The school looked like a big ashram. 

The principal of the school Mr. Sharma  received me at the car. He welcomed me into a tatched canopy.  We sat under the canopy  with my books. He was pleased with the biggest Telugu novel Bharatavarsha. He asked it for his school library. He wanted to have copies of most of my works. 

 Meantime all the teachers and staff assembled in the auditorium. The principal has taken me into the auditorium. Two little girls offered me bouquet. while the projector was showing my Bharatavarsha program on ETV.  I spoke in six foreign languages and entertained and surprised the children. The children loved foreign languages. 

The focus was on How to learn English.

The most important secret behind English learning is  listening to the rhythm of English and enjoying its beauty. This requires learning the following. 

1. The 44 sounds of English

2. Word pronunciation

3. Word stress ( where the words is stressed) 

4. Pronunciation of phrases ( entirely new to us)

5. Voice Modulation or intonation. 

The program went on like a work shop. involving the students and the teachers. The program lasted two hours. the children enjoyed the program. I have received many rare honours . This is rarest of the rare. The sprit of the founders of such an institution and their munificience is a blessing for many generations. 

Subliminal power - Improve faster

 Have you ever heard the word Subliminal? I guess you haven't. Those who haven't heard are disadvantaged. This disadvantage comes naturally when you are born in Andhrapradesh. It is true. Language defeciency is acquired by birth in Andhrapradesh.  In case you have heard of the word subliminal, you are in the micrscopic minority of somewhat learned or educated people. How many of those who heard it have known the meaning of it completely?

                     

The answer is very very few actually know the meaning completely.  Just read the meaning. It is explained  differently by different dictionaries. It may not be possible to understand clearly if you follow only one dictionary.  Here is what Webster dictionary says about subliminal

How many of those who know the meaning can really interpret read further about it.  The answer is known to you. Think of yourself. It is individual. Have you read something about it? 

How many people have the habit of reading? Many people say that they have no time to read and escape. That is only a lame excuse. They don't know that they are escaping from their life, living in the darkness and ignorance. Ignorance is like slum. People are scared of poverty not slavery to money.  Actually they must be scared of slavery or lack of freedom. People hate slums. Actually they must hate ignorance.  If you analyse you can clearly understand and feel your subconscious mind. 

Have you gone deeper into reading?  An unwilling man answers " If only I had time I would read."  But person who has quest for knowledge will always find time to read. This is what researchers think 

If it pleases you try to know more about subliminal that is nothing but knowing yourself. What did Karl Marx say about consciousness of freedom?  How can you apply it to knowledge? Wite a feedback.

Driving through the Rain

Sunday 30th June, we started at 6.00 A.M by car to visit Mylavaram Venkateswara Temple. Mylavaram is somewhere around 80 km one way from my village Vanukuru.  The weather is wet. It was drizzling througout the day.  Driving through the rain is one of the most beauful expereiences that delights our mood. 

It was  semidark when I left my village.  I was driving slowly without hurry. After all it was Sunday and we were going to Temple. I had a throat problem. At Benz  circle I stopped the car and Laxmi bought some strepcils. We started again. The roads were wet and the vehicles were absolutely few. I drove relaxedly.  After we crossed the Ibrahimpatnam the roads were partially submerged with water in some places. I cut through the stagnant rain water. 

At 8.30 we reached the temple.  There were only three devotees. We rounded the temple peacefully. We had whole hearted Darshan. We spent good time with God in the temple.  I remembered Shandanasastry (the writer of Tulabharam Telugu drama) whose songs are familiar in Telugu cinema. I also remembered the Rameswarasastry ( father of Viswanatha Satyanarayana). Both are good devotees and true believers of God. Both breathed last in temples. philosophical and spiritual thoughts rocked me. They reminded me that life is transitory ( very temporary) 

Later we took photos in the temple complex and outside the temple. We resumed our backward journey at 9.30. ON the  way I saw pre-fabricated containers houses. I was in search of them. I believed it was God's miracle. I stopped the car met the man at the place. Took his number and took photos of the spacious container houses. 

When the car reached Vijayawada we had the last soujourn at Fortune Muralipark Hotel.  My favourite place was Durga vilas hotel. When I lived in the city we often ate there on Sundays. Again after so long I could eat there. It was really fortunate. 

A different thinker - German learning in Vijayawada

On 25th June 2024 Mr. Ashik came to Vijayawada from Nellore to meet me. He undertook a journey of 300 kilometers to meet and interact. I do have guests at home frequently but coming from hundreds of kilometers is rare. Mr. Ashiq lives in Nellore. He contacted me for German language learning.  I gave him my house address. 

He reached  Vijayawada  and informed me the same from City bus complex. My house is 20 km. from bus complex.  I never thought that he could come so fast. In thirty minutes he is at my village home.  we had great deal of discussion  about German language. 

                                           

               

I explained all the important topics of  German grammar and sentence construction in the study room. Then we shifted to dining room. we had breakfast together. During breakfast he told me that he went to Bhavnagar ,  Gujarat to study Engineering. He wanted to live in a different culture and understand life from a different perspective. He told me so many interesting things about Vadodara and Gujarat. 

I dropped him by car at the bus complex despite his requests to drop him at a near by autostand. I have plently of time for guests.  Guests are always welcome. This picture is a valuable memory. 

Millions of people think that they are different but in reality only a few people are different.  These few people only think differently. They don't  act differently.  When it comes to actions they act like all others. Ashiq is one of the few young men who not only think differently but also acts differently.

Ich habe ihre Anzeige fur einen Kochkurs in der Zeitung gesehen und möchte mich gerne dafur anmelden. Ich würde garne  wissen ob der Kurs diesen Monat beginnt. Wie lange die gesamte kurs dauren wirden, und wie viele stuntden pro Monat und möchten wir besuchen mussen? und wie hoch sind die kosten für den Kurs. wird ein efahrungszertifikat geben weil ich in einem Restaurant arbeiten möchte. 

I saw your advertisement for a cooking course in the newspaper and would like to register myself. I would like to know if the course starts this month. How long will the whole course last and how many hours per month we have to attend? And how much does the course cost? Will there be a certificate of experience because I want to work in a restaurant.

France and its Politics. 

Sarkozy was the French president from 2007 to 2012. In the 2012 presidential elections, Sarkozy was defeated by Socialist François Hollande by a margin of 3.2%. Towards the end of his presidency, unemployment claims surged to their highest level in 12 years. 

The voters disappointed by a moribund economy deserted him . Sarkozy courted  voters with a promise to limit the right to French nationality of children born to immigrants.  He pledges to suspend the right of immigrants to bring immediate family members to live in France. He vows to ‘drastically reduce’ the number of migrants France accepts and end economic migration within five years.  By promising to ban the Muslim head scarf from universities and public companies he furthermore presents himself as an energetic defender of the secular state that is a key part of France’s identity. 

Nicolas Sarkozy is the first ex-president  to have been given a custodial sentence for corruption.  He is accused of having fraudulently overspent in his 2012 presidential campaign, which he lost to Socialist rival François Hollande. Sarkozy,  had tried to bribe a magistrate in return for information on an investigation into his campaign finances. He denies wrongdoing and is expected to appeal.

France's Nicolas Sarkozy is called bling bling" which means expensive or attractive. He is known for lavish life. He married three women.  Former French President Jacques Chirac has mocked his  Nicolas Sarkozy in memoirs as "irritable, rash, overconfident. He is the only French leader’s who has highly publicized romantic life with French singer and Super model Carla Bruni who is his third wife.  His  second wife, Cecilia says that Sarkozy is a cheap womanizer. His first wife Marie-Dominique Culioli has  condemned her friend Cicelia who married Sarkozy. She said that she can forgive Sarkozy's infidility but not her friend's betrayal.
