కంచర గాడిద - నాటిక

 

అటు గాడిద కాదు ఇటు గుర్రం కాదు అటు ఇంగ్లిష్ కాదు, ఇటు తెగ్లీష్ కాదు. ఇది ఓకే ప్రత్యేకమైన భాష. చాలామంది తెలుగు వారు మాట్లాడే భాష. నమ్మలేకపోతున్నారా?  టీ వీ  చూడండి, లేదా మీచుట్టూ ఉన్న మనుషులను గమనించండి. బట్, ఇఫ్, బికాజ్ లాంటి ఇంగ్లిష్ పదాలను తెలుగు సంభాషణ లో వాడుతూ ఇంగ్లిష్ మాట్లాడుతున్నట్టు, ఇంగ్లిష్ కి అలవాటు పడి పోయినట్టు చూబిస్తూ ఉంటారు. వీళ్ళకి రాదని చెప్పను కాని సమంగా రాదనీ ఖచ్చితంగా చెప్పగలను. వీరి భాష చాలా చికాకుగా ఉంటుంది. కంపరం పుట్టించే ఈ భాష ప్రయోగం మీద సంధించిన వ్యంగ్యాస్త్రమే  ఈ కంచర గాడిద (నాటిక )

ఆవిడ ఇన్స్పిరేషన్ తోనే ఒక స్కిల్ ని స్టార్ట్ చేయాలనే థాట్ వచ్చింది నాకు.....

బికాజ్ ఒక ఫస్ట్ హౌస్ అవ్వచ్చు ఒక సెకెండ్ హౌస్ అవ్వచ్చు .....

అలా అంటారు కాని  వుమన్ ఎన్ని పనులు చేస్తున్నా మెన్ ఈక్వల్ గా అంత  పనులూ చేస్తుంటారు ..

నాటిక ప్రారంభం- అతిథి రాక 
మద్యానం సమయం లో వచ్చిన అతిథి తో పిల్లల సంభాషణ.

తేజ: ఎవరో డోర్  నాక్  చేస్తున్నారు, ఓపెన్ చెయ్యి.
శ్రుతి: నేను బిజి రా, నువ్వే ఒక్కసారి కొంచం స్ట్రెచ్ అయి జస్ట్ పుల్ చెయ్యరా. 

తేజ  తలుపు తీసి చూసి :  ఓ, అంకులా, డాడి కోసం వచ్చారా?
శ్రుతి: సిట్  చెయ్యండి అంకుల్. కాఫీ డ్రింక్ చేస్తారా? వాటర్ డ్రింక్ చేస్తారా?
తేజ: వెదర్ హాట్ గా ఉందికదా, కూల్ డ్రింక్ ఐతే బెటర్.
అంకుల్: జస్ట్ కూల్ వాటర్ చాలు బేబి. మీ డాడితో టాక్ చేద్దామని వచ్చాను.
తేజ: ఇంకా ఆఫీసు నుంచి రిటర్న్ కాలేదు. మమ్మీ ఉంది కాల్ చెయ్యమంటారా ?
శ్రుతి: కాల్ చేయ్యడ మేమిటి రా? కాల్ చెయ్యడమంటే ఫోను చెయ్యడము కదా?
తేజ: అబ్బ నీకేంతెలీదు. మా స్కూల్  లో ఇలాగే మాట్లాడతారు.
అంకుల్: మమ్మీ ని డిస్టర్బ్ చేయ్యకండి. వర్క్  చేసి బాగా  టయర్ ఐపోయి ఉంటారు.

స్లీప్ చేస్తున్నారు.  నెక్ స్ట్ టైం  కాల్ చేసి వస్తాను. (అంకుల్ వెళ్ళిపోతాడు) 

బై అంకుల్  తలుపు చప్పుడు అవుతుంది. విరామ సంగీతం.

సాయంకాలం ఇంటికి వచ్చిన తండ్రితో పిల్లల సంభాషణ....

తండ్రి: సన్నీ, బన్ని డోర్ నాక్ చేస్తుంటే మైండ్ చేయరేంటి?

సారీ డాడి TV వాచ్ చేస్తున్నాము.

తండ్రి:  అమ్మ ఏది?
పిల్లలు : ఢిల్లీ పిన్ని  అమ్మ  వంట గది లో ఉన్నారు.

మామ్: మా వాళ్ళు ఇంగ్లిష్ అదరగొట్టేస్తారు. చూసావు గా మమ్మీ డాడీ అని ఎంత  చక్కగా పిలుస్తున్నారో      డీల్లీ లో కూడా ఇలాంటి ఇంగ్లిష్ విని ఉండవు. (ఢిల్లీ నుంచి వచ్చిన చెల్లితో)

కొత్తగా వచ్చే వని నీతో ఎక్కువ మాట్లాడలేదు కానీ మా వాళ్ళు ఇంగ్లిష్ దంచేస్తారు

ఏవండీ టీ తాగుతారా?  ఒక్క నిమిషం పంపిస్తాను

డాడీ : హోమ వర్క్ ఫినిష్ చేసారా?  

శృతి:  లేదు డాడీ
డాడీ :  హోమ్ వర్క్ ఫినిష్ చెయ్యకుండా టీవీ వాచ్ చేయద్దని ఎన్ని సార్లు చెప్పాను?

మామ్: ఎలా ఉంది మా వాళ్ళ ఇంగ్లిష్? 

అతిథి: వాళ్ళు తెలుగే కదా మాట్లాడుతున్నారు
శృతి: ఓకే డాడీ. నాకు నోట్ బుక్ పర్చేస్ చేసారా?
శృతి: మన రత్నం గారి షాప్ క్లోస్ చేసేసి ఉండండి అమ్మా. టుమారో షూర్గా తెస్తాను.
శృతి: ఓకే డాడి ఫర్గెట్ చేయకండి.

అతిథి: ఫర్గెట్  చేయకండా? బుర్ర తిరుతుతుండడంతో  బుర్ర  విదిలిస్తుంది 

(వీళ్ళ ఇంగ్లిష్ వింటుంటే నాకు పిచ్చి పట్టేట్టుంది, మనసులో)

మామ్: ఇప్పటికి అర్ధం అయినట్టుంది మనసులో)

మామ్: చూసేవా మా వాళ్ళు ఇంగ్లిష్ అదర గొట్టేస్తారని చెప్పానా
డాడీ: సర్టిన్లీ తల్లీ , గో గో  రీడ్ చేస్కో నాన్న.
శృతి: డాడీ హోంవర్క్ చేయాలి, హెల్ప్ చేయి డాడి.
దాడి: నేను బాగా టయర్ ఐపోయాను, రిలాక్స్ కావద్దూ?
శృతి: ఈ హోమ్ వర్క్ చాలా ఇంపార్టెంట్ , మస్ట్ గా చేయాలిఅని మా టీచర్ చెప్పింది.లేకపోతె బీట్ చేస్తుంది.
డాడీ: ఆ! చిల్రన్ ని బీట్ చేయడమా? శృతి:అవును డాడీ నిజంగా బీట్ చేస్తుంది
డాడీ: చిల్రన్ ని బీట్ చేయడమా? చిల్రన్ ని బీట్ చేయకూడదమ్మా. నేను మీ టీచర్ తో టాక్ చేస్తాను.
శృతి:వద్దు డాడీ టాక్ చేయద్దు డాడీ . హెల్ప్ చేయమంటే టాక్ చేస్తానంటా వేంటి  డాడీ ?
మమ్మీ : శృతి, డాడీ ని అండర్ స్టేండ్ చేసుకోవాలమ్మా ! తెజచూడు ఎప్పుడు సెల్ఫ్  గా  చేసుకుంటాడు.
కాస్సేపు రెస్ట్ తీసుకున్నాక నీ ప్రాబ్లం సాల్వ్ చేస్తారులే.
శృతి: మీకు హాట్ వాటర్ రెడీ అయ్యింది. బాత్ చెయ్యండి.
డాడి :ఓకే నాన్నా నువ్వు కాస్సేపు ప్లే చేస్కో ఈలోగా నేను బాత్ చేసి వస్తాను . శృతి:అలాగే డాడీ

తండ్రి స్త్నానం చేసి వచ్చిన  తరువాత......
తండ్రి టీ వీ  చూస్తుంటాడు శృతి బోజనానికి రమ్మని తండ్రి పిలుస్తుంది.
శృతి: డాడీ, మమ్మీ కుక్కింగ్ ఫినిష్ చేసింది
డాడీ:  ఓకే
మమ్మీ: శృతి, తేజ, హాండ్స్ వాష్ చేసుకోండి.
మేము చేసుకోమని పిల్లలు పేచి పెడతారు. ఇంతలో నాయనమ్మ వస్తుంది
నాయనమ్మ: పిల్లలూ చేతులు కడుక్కోకపోతే అనారోగ్యం. జబ్బులు వస్తాయి
(పిల్లలు నవ్వుతారు)
నాయనమ్మ: అల్లా నవ్వుతారేవిట్రా , వెర్రి మొహాలరా!
మమ్మీ: మీరు మాట్లాడేది వాళ్లకు ఏమీ అర్ధం కాలేదు అత్తయ్యగారు.
నాయనమ్మ:  తెలుగులోనే కదా  చెప్పాను, మరి ఎలా చెప్పాలి?
మమ్మీ: వాళ్లకి ఇంగ్లిష్లో చెప్పాలి
నాయనమ్మ: నాకు రాదే తల్లి ఆ ఇంగ్లిషు.

మమ్మీ: అదిగో, వాళ్ళ డాడీ వచ్చారు కదా , ఆయనే చెప్తారు.
డాడీ: ఏంటి తేజ, శృతి, హాండ్స్ వాష్ చేసుకోమంటు న్నారా? తప్పు కదా?
డిసీజెస్ వస్తాయి , సిక్ అయిపోతారమ్మా, గో , గో ...   పిల్లలు: ఓకే డాడీ
నాయనమ్మ: మావాళ్ళు ఇంగ్లిష్ ఎంత చక్కగా మాట్లాడతారో .

అక్క రేపు నేను బయలుదేరదామనుకుంటున్నాను.

అయ్యో అప్పుడేనా ? వచ్చి రెండురోజులు కాలేదు

 కొద్ది రోజుల తర్వాత ఆఫిస్ నుంచి వచ్చిన తండ్రితో.....

మమ్మీ: ఏవండీ కేక్ అడ్డర్ చేశారా?  

నాయనమ్మ: స్వీట్స్ బ్రాట్ చేసావా?

టుమారో ఫంక్షన్ కి పిల్లల విషయాలు ఎప్పుడూ ఫర్గెట్ చెయ్యడు (అతిథితో)

అతిథి: ఈవిడ కూడా మొదలెట్టేసింది(మనసులో)

మమ్మీ: పిల్లలూ ఈ స్వీట్స్  రేపటికి టచ్ చేయకండి. (పిల్లలు ఇప్పుడే తినాలి అని అల్లరి చేస్తారు)

వన్ టైం టెల్, టూ టైమ్స్ టెల్ నాట్ లిస్నింగ్ మీన్స్ బీటింగ్ ఓన్లీ.

అతిథి : అంటే ఏంటక్కా? 

నాయనమ్మ:  పిచ్చిపిల్ల నీకు వాళ్ళ ఇంగ్లిష్ విని షాక్ తగిలినట్లుంది.

అతిథి : షాక్ కాదు పిచ్చిపట్టేటట్లుంది. 

నాయనమ్మ:   మొదట్లో నాకు అంతే. నీకు త్వరలోనే వచ్చేస్తుందిలే.

అతిధి : నాకొద్దు బాబోయ్ ఈ ఇంగ్లిష్ ... సూటుకేసి పట్టుకుని పరుగు.

డాడీ: అందరూ ఇంగ్లిష్ నేర్చుకోవాలని చూస్తారు నువ్వెంటమ్మ..

Education - My peripatetic life

Travel from place to place working for short time is called  peripatetic.    
I was more in student mode when I began my career as a trainer  and visiting professor. I worked for nearly 50 colleges in North and South India. I recall my rewarding experiences of my peripatetic life as trainer. 

My Experience is my best Education 
and my Education of Experience is Edification. 

It is true light in which I could see myself and the world.

Voice-over, a profession par excellence

I never thought that I would become a voice over. But I became one but not by chance. I became a voice over by dint of hard work. A hard work that had lasted for a decade before I saw my CDs on stalls. I remember those days( my initial days of practice) very clearly where any people made a fine point at me. " You are practicing English pronunciation! What a fun!!"

Nobody encouraged, every dissuaded and laughed at my English pronunciation practice. Not  only did my brother laughed at my practice but also he mocked at my goal of becoming a good English voice over. but that did not batter my confidence. I swerved not from my objective.

The result is amazing. After a decade I was in several recording deals for my good pronunciation and accent. The people who laughed at me ate a humble pie. Those who said what a fun!! ate their words. I seized several chances to speak on All India Radio. I was appreciated for my news recording in neutral accent although many people liked my american accent. I received many positive comments about my voice  in FB.  This is one of the comments I have received from a facebook member when I uploaded the following video.

The above Facebook message is in Telugu. In English it means he watched my video and thought that it was some English man's voice. He also said that it was really super. I worked for AIR, Schools, Colleges, private and government organizations but the educational CDs gave me immense satisfaction. I liked several voices in the internet and television. Here is one of the voices I liked.

I have high regard for the profession of a voice-over and I still admire it although I became a foreign languages trainer by profession. I believe that voice over is a profession par excellence. A journey of thousand miles.

Début not Déjà vu

Success is not a destination. It is a journey.  On a journey on thousand miles Vibrations just took the first step.  journey is the purpose of Vibrations. Experiencing and Learning is the aim; inspiring the reader is the policy. Vibrations  is expected to  encounter great people use every opportunity  to learn and seek participation from young and old people.  The Launching Programme of Vibrations took place in Vijayawada on Oct the 26 20012. 

Deputy Superintendent of police Sri Surya Chandra Rao  has launched  the magazine. Cheif Editor poolabala Venkat,  the Associate editor Varalakshmi are (seen in the pic). The  team has been of great help at every stage.  The executive editor Vamsi Krishna (B. Tech) JNTU, KKD, has taken initiative to invite the chief guest and arrange every thing for launch.

How to become a Polyglot?

Polyglot is a person who speaks many languages.
At least a person should speak three languages to be called a Polyglot.

                

Speaking at National Level seminar on French and German Classic litt.

                

Many people have the desire to learn Foreign Language. Some people can not begin due to financial reason. Some people begin but can not progress for want of  self confidence. Self confidence and role model  both are necessary for learning foreign languages.

Inspiration indispensable 

A role model is great strength to navigates you to your polyglot target. You know former Prime minister P.V Narasimharao. He is the source of inspiration to me.  Even when he was very busy as Prime Minster he never put aside his love of literature. He has translated Veyipadagalu ( Telugu) into Hindi as " sahastra phan' I translated the same yeyi padagalu into French. 

The milestones in my journey: 

 Veyipadagalu  is a thousand page Epic novel by Viswanatha satyanarayana sastry that won sahitya academy prize. I had to read the book three times to translate it into French. I would have failed had it not been for my passion. The translation has led to a great discovery. I discovered my own inner strength. Many people have half read Yeyipadagalu because of its size. They complain hat it is voluminous(very big.)  Passion knows no boundaries.  

 I could write at least two books on all the foreign languages I teach. This is the second milestone.I have carved a niche for me in the field of foreign languages. I saw myself a prolific writer in foreign languages. 

 A national Level seminar on French and German Classic literature was held at Ernakulam in the year 2012 on September 14th and 15th.  

I was invited to Ernakulam to speak on French and German Classic Literature. I participated as a resource person @ National Level seminar at Aluva in Kerala.  I think that the invitation is  the greatest  reward in itself as it is the life changing force. 

 what is more is a  re invitation to teach French in Kerala. when I received the invitation to speak at the National level seminar I stopped teaching for a month and dedicated fully to the study of classic literature in French and German.  I have selected the french and German books that have won noble prize for literature along with other classics like Les Misérables , The Little Prince,  The Stranger , The Three Musketeers. From German language I have selected   The Sorrows of Young Werther,  Death in Venice Thomas Mann ,  Siddhartha by Herman Hesse, and some modern by Nobel prize winning books like Atemschaukel by Herta Muller and  Hunger Angel.

 

 I confined myself to room and never moved anywhere nor shaved. Since I never worked the whole month I never had any income. I thought "Money comes again but this opportunity will not come again." I have always loved languages and enjoyed reading literature.  when I was young I loved Shelly, Shaw, Shakespeare. I admired their stories plays and poems. I never knew that it was a journey of thousand miles at that time. I never thought that one day I would become a foreign languages teacher. To my surprise now I am into  major languages of the world, French, German  Spanish, Italian, English and Japanese.  

 Even English is heavy for many adults.

They ask me "why foreign languages?  I firmly believe that unable to admire literature and  failure to appreciate and understand life is one and the same.  I am empowered by languages  to think more widely; experience more vividly, express more clearly. It is a journey into the hearts.  Deo gratias. 

Now I am able to speak 6 foreign languages; French, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese.  I have started a Foreign languages Institute in Vijayawada to teach foreign languages to interested learners.      I never had anybody to guide me in those days.   I fought all by myself  but today you can access  foreign languages  more easily . All you need is passion guidance and training are readily available.
