Bhagavadgetha and Nonsense

వణుకూరు రామాలయం పక్కన  ఉన్న  సిమెంట్  రోడ్డు మధ్యలో  రాళ్ళ లోడు దింపేసి వెళ్ళి పోయాడు ఒక తాగుబోతు. వాహన దారులకు ఇది కష్టంగా ఉన్నా తలదించుకుని వెళ్లిపోతున్నారు. పండుగ రోజులుకదా పనివాళ్ళు లేక అలా వదిలేశారు అని అనుకుని  నాలుగు రోజులు ఎదురుచూసి  ఐదవ  రోజు తిరిగి తిరిగి వివరాలు సేకరిస్తే ఇది ఒక తాగుబోతు చేసిన పని అని తెలిసింది. వణుకూరు పంచాయతీ అంత  పోరంబోకు పంచాయతీ ఎక్కడైనా ఉంటుందంటే నేను నమ్మను. 

ఇక్కడ ప్రజలు కూడా తక్కువేమీ కాదు కోడి ముక్కులో గింజ ఉంటే లాక్కుని తినే రకాలు. సామాజిక సేవ అంటే వాళ్లకి చెవులు వినిపించవు, మెదడు స్తంభించిపోతుంది.  సామాజిక స్పృహ లేకుండా పరిశుభ్రత పాటించకుండా , ఓట్లు అమ్ముకుంటూ , ఉచితాలకి ఎగబడుతూ బ్రతుకుతుంటారు. రూపాయి వస్తుంది అంటే పోనివ్వరు.  కోడి ముక్కులో గింజ ఉంటే లాక్కుని తినే రకాలు.  ఇది వీళ్ళకి సమంగా సరిపోతుంది. వీళ్ళకి వీళ్ళు ధర్మపరులులాగా కనిపిస్తారు.  

యోగా, అన్నదానాలు, మైక్ లో పూజలు,  భగవద్గీత చదవడం ఇలాటివన్నీ  చేసి పుణ్యకార్యలు చేస్తున్నామని ప్రచారం చేసుకుంటూ వాళ్ళని వాళ్ళు మభ్య బెట్టుకుంటూ ఉండేవారు ఇక్కడ బాగా ఎక్కువ. మనం గీత చదవడం దేశానికి ఉద్దరింపు కాదు. 

గీత ధర్మబద్ధమైన ప్రవర్తన,  ధార్మిక బుద్ధి, ఆధ్యాత్మిక జ్ఞానం గురించి  చెపుతుంది. ఆచరించేవాళ్ళకి తప్ప వీటితో మనకి పనేముంది ? 

మనకి తెలుగులో చదువుకునే అవకాశం ఉన్నా మనం ఇంగ్లిష్ మీడియం లో చదువుకుని, పంచె  కట్టుకునే అవకాశం ఉన్నా పేంట్ షర్ట్ వేసుకుంటాం ఆడవాళ్లు కూడా మగవారిని మించి పోతున్నారు. 

పేషన్, విద్య, ఉద్యోగం, ఇలా జీవితం అంతా విదేశీ సంస్కృతి తో అంట కాగుతూ  తెలుగు చచ్చిపోతుంది అంటే పట్టించుకోకుండా  మంచి ఉద్యోగావకాశాలు కావాలంటే ఇంగ్లిష్ చదువులు చదువుకోవాలి అని తెలుగుని పక్కన పడేస్తావు. 

తెలుగు బట్టలు కట్టుకోవాలి అంటే  ఛీ ఛీ నాగరికత తగ్గిపోతుంది అని సంప్రదాయ వస్త్రాలని పక్కన పడేస్తావు. విదేశాలు వెళితే  ఉన్నత  జీవిత ప్రమాణాలు  దొరుకుతాయని దేశాన్ని పక్కన పడేస్తావు. ఇంకా దేనికి నీకుధర్మం ? దేనికి నీకు భగవద్గీత? స్వార్థానికి మరోపేరు భక్తి. ఇంతస్వార్ధ పరులకి ఏదేవుడు సాయం చేస్తాడు  మానవత్వం   మీదనమ్మకం ఉన్నవాడుతప్ప.   

                       

రాత్రి   నేను (వెంకట్ పూలబాల) నాభార్య (వరలక్ష్మి) పార, తట్ట పట్టుకొని  ఎంతో శ్రమించి రాళ్ళ కుప్పని రోడ్డు మద్య నుంచి  తరలించాము. ఆ సమయంలో ఎంతో మంది చూస్తూ వెళ్ళిపోయారే తప్ప ఎవ్వరూ సహాయం చేయడానికి ముందుకి రాలేదు. 

Many people don't learn Bhagavadgeeta . They simply recite the slokas.  Learning means changing or adopting new things not merely reciting.  We all crawl as toddlers but when we learn to walk we don't crawl. We stop crawling and adopt walking. This kind of change is called learning. True learning reflects in change of behaviour. Otherwise it is stinking.

After learning so many morals if you can not follow a simple iota of moral. what is the use of learning so many morals.  A selfish man only recites and  shows that he is learning Bhaga vadgeetha. It is only to impress others. This is nonsense. In my village there are so many Hindu's who recite the Geetha.They go to temple expecting God to fulfil their desires. They think that is Bhakthi. 

Four days ago a drunken tractor driver by mistake unloaded a load of concrete in the centre of the cement road. I took two days to understand how the concrete load was dropped on the public road. I went to the near by houses and asked them about it. Nobody knows. Finally a road contractor told me that it was the job of drunken driver.

Then I requested the people in my flat to help me in removing the heap. They laughed at me. I asked my village Panchayat to remove that heap of stones. They did not respond. They are interested in collecting taxes. They don't want to serve the public. 

Than I took it as my responsibility to remove the heap of concrete chips. I started doing it at night with a spade and a basket. My wife came forward to help me. Though she is a frail woman struggled a lot with me in removing the heap of stones from the cement road. 

 All people are interested in preaching morals publicly. Privately all people hate morals or good behaviour. This is our society. All people love India. All people love Telugu.
