Bhikajikama place Global Eye: After waiting for an hour Inspector Rathod could meet Vivek Pandit.

Inspector Rathod you have been investigating the case of Keyur right? What is the progress? Global Eye head, Vivek pandit has asked him offering coffee.  "No thanks, said inspector “Sorry this is day time I could not offer Redbreast” said Vivek.

Redbreast is a popular brand of Irish whisky. A bottle costs 10k but it is the favourite brand of Rathod. Rathod’s facial expressions changed. “How do you know that it is my favourite brand?” asked Rathod.

 Vivek laughed and said “Tell me who stole the pictures of Mayur from your station?

The Inspector’s face turned pale. He is not Mayur he is Kayur How do you know that? He asked. Vivek laughed again and gave him two postcard size photos. “ Are they these photos?” He asked the inspector.

 Yes he is Keyur. These are his pictures. Said the inspector.

 No he is not Keyur said vivek coolly.

 You think he is Mayur. There is no Mayur

 These are the pictures of Dr. Mayank.

Dr. Mayank? Are you sure? Asked Rathod with a doubtful face.

Vivek took an envelope and some photos from his desk and placed them before the Inspector. The Inspector opened the envelope. It was the wedding card of Manalini and Dr. Mayank. Then he started looking at the photos. “ These are the pictures of their engagement ceremony. Said Vivek. "Vishnu sishodia is seen in their engagement pictures. Is he related to Mayank? Asked the inspector.

Yes, Vishnu sishodia has married Mayank’s mother. said Vivek. The language looked strange to Rathod. Okay jokes apart! I am serious. Said the inspector who does not know it that Vishnu married Devaki  recently. “ If you are serious you would have met me at least a week ago. When Mir chandani failed you thought all detectives failed. You developed a low opinion on detectives.” Said Vivek. 

Rathod smiled “Your investigations are perfect. I admire your speed. But your opinion on the police department particularly on me not right. In reality private investigators often assist in criminal investigations and can even be found working alongside law enforcement. In certain instances police often hire private investigators when they can't pursue the case further. I did not come to you because your fees is high. Said the inspector. My charges are high because my cases are complex. Said vivek.

I have never failed in any case in my 30 years of service. Nor I have left any case unsolved . Keyur’s case has no clue. Any serious learner would tend to go to an expert and learn where he failed. It is natural. Vivek thought. So, out of your interest you are here, right? asked Vivek. "Yes I want to know who Kayur is. I want to know who stole the pictures from my station.

Vivek was amused at his interest. He controlled his laughter. “The investigation of Kayur is already finished.” Said Vivek placing the envelope that consisted “doppleganger investigation report." Rathod’s face lighted up. “There is no fees for this. Larcen and Turbo company has paid for it. I did the investigation for them and gave you a copy.  The second investigation  needs fees. You want it? “ Asked Vivek.

 No at least tell me how you came to know of it. Have you tapped the calls?

No detective taps the calls it is illegal. You dismissed the constable in your station after the theft He told me” said Vivek and laughed. We follow people shadow them not tap calls. That is risky.

 The inspector opened the doppleganger report and felt a snaked hissed on his face, “Is he a store keeper in L and T? He was surprised.  Can a store keeper do all this? Asked the inspector

 Vivek said “He can be anything, he can be a doctor, an engineer, an artist or anything? All his names are fake all his roles are fake.  He wants different identity. So he took that job of a store keeper. Actually who is he which such a skill and caliber?

 Read the report further you will know everything. He is in Gurugaon. go arrest him. This is what I can not do. The inspector examined the report further. He saw a news report cut from TOI  pasted there.

 

Oh! He is subash Chandra agarwal!  How did you guess this? How did you finish your investigation so fast. I finished the case before I left for Singapore. Land T has a terrible confusion over the mysterious theft of large number of storm water pipes from the stock yard where Kayur aka subhash agarwal was the storekeeper.  He chooses in significant and menial jobs where there is no deeper personal scrutiny .  

The yard full of pipes one on the other - six rows. A person watching from the ground  can never get a doubt because his eye can not catch the difference. Only a person watching from the crane ( cranes are used t lift and move them) can make a difference. A new supervisor  who joined recently had the doubt when he was on the crane for fun. He informed the higher ups. It raised curtain to the investigation. They took two months to find out that pipes worth one crore are missing. If you put them in a line they cover up 4km length. 

They were shocked  but could not get to the bottom of it. They suspected every employee from clerk to officer manager. Their bank accounts are checked.   The office manager was held responsible he was arrested and later released when they came to know that he was innocent. Then the accountant was arrested. He was beaten by cops in Gurugoan. The employees had gone to police station cried for the old man and stood by his side.  But that could not save him.  He was still in jail when they came to me. Then they suspected the contractor because the pipes can only be taken on the heavy trailer truck. They must be loaded by cranes. Men can not load such heavy pipes. Only a trailer can carry them out of the stock yard.

Vivek was telling the process of investigation. Inspector Rathod fixed like a statue in the chair.

No body guessed that a store keeper could do it. But I did. When I saw him I the first impression I had was  that he was a software engineer. I ransacked the news reports of soft ware engineers and IT professionals involved in crime. I came across the the news of Subhash Agarwal who was sacked in 2015. Though his photo was printed in the newspaper I worked on the age and intelligence.  How did he manage to shift  the pipes . did he do it at night? Asked the Inspector.

 Vivek laughed. Had he done during night he would have been easily caught. He did it in the morning when they were loading and unloading pipes for the work. His power is that he can hack pentagon website. He hacked the L and T website and managed the accounts. He even created a duplicate bill and gate pass. With the same numbers. So through accounts, bills and vouchers they could not trace him.

Then how did you trace him. I have told you what I do you've forgotten. I shadow the people.

 Rathod removed his cap and scratched his head. Such a big theft!   

Yes stolen pipes are worth one crore. Said Vivek. But he did it over a period of one and half years. Luckily he did not sell but stored them in a different yard. He is presently in Noida.

 In Noida!! The inspector was shocked. Yes he joined Vishnu Sishodia’s  hotel as a waiter.

 The inspector was shocked again. what is his plan after all? He was wondering.

 If you arrest him later I have my obligation to save him. Said Vivek

 Inspector Rathod was utterly confused. He thanked Vivek Pandit and left.
