In the police station at Noida Mapuii and Meghana sat before the inspector Rathod.

Before taking the written complaint the inspector asked Mapuii “what is the case?”

It is the case of a fraud lover playing with two girls with two names.

“Give me his address and telephone number we'll call him and give him a police treatment.”said         the inspector who took it very casually.

Sir, this case is very complex we have sought the help the famous detective Mir Chandani.                  He could not get to the bottom of the case. He had a terrible fiasco.

The inspector’s eyebrows are knotted and his eyes became keen. his face became serious.

Why did you prefer a detective? You should have come to the police directly.                                      Tell me the case in detail said the inspector.

Manu and Kyra are close friends and colleagues both are IBM employees and room mates. Manu loves Dr. Mayank. Kyra loves Mayur. He is an artist. They look very similar. We doubt that he is one man playing the double game.

Don’t they have any dobut? How did you get the doubt?

The Doctor is extorting money from Manu. She is giving him big amounts. I am the witness.

Only a cheat extorts money. Doesn’t she know that? How can she give money to her lover so foolishly? Why did you not stop when you see that happen before your eyes? You should have approached the police long back. Rathod was peevish and irascible.

Mapuii did not know what to answer. She wanted to say that “It is HER money and she is giving it to whom she trusted” but she did not say that. She knew that it would irk him. She was at her wits end.  She looked life less. There was silence for a while.

The inspector ordered tea. The boy brought tea. He offered tea to May an Ma.  

 You will get your money back. Don’t worry. said the inspector sipping tea.

“ey paisonkaa baatha nahee hein sir. Let money go, it is our duty to find the facts before the marriage. Crying on the split milk is of no use. It is not our aim to punish Mayur. Our aim is only to find the fact - Mayur and Mayank are one or different. So we preferred Detective to police. But the detective failed terribly before our eyes.

 The inspector had a curious face. Tell me why you doubt the doctor? How did the dectective fail?

 Manu had not the slightest doubt on her fiancé. He is a doctor. He drew Manu’s picture neatly like an artist. How can a doctor draw her picture? More over he takes money from her. To solve Mayur – Mayank puzzle we approached a detective because if he is a genuine doctor he might get hurt with a police report.

 The inspector laughed and asid “Tell me what did Mir Chandani do?

Mir chandani sketched out a plan to get to the bottom. He has put all her frineds in close observation and found out from her colleague Anasuya that they are meeting in their usual place Kamboj restaurant.

 Detectives are so stupid. He should have asked Kyra. Ha ha ha laughed Rathod.

 Meghana said innocently “ Koi faida nahee hogaa sir … Mapuii pressed her foot with her foot. ( they sat side bye side on chairs). Actually she wanted to say they Kyra won’t say even if we ask. They don’t discuss with each other until their love is fruitful and gets parents approval. But that proves inspector’s stupidity.  Which will irritate him.

Sayad Mir chandani itana samajhadar nahee hein sir. Police are different na sir. They think perfectly. Mapuii was maska polishing the Inspector. May grasped it and smiled. Again Mapuii pressed her foot. Mapuii was continuing  

 When they met at Kamboj restaurant we entered the restaurant and went to their table. They ordered coffee before the waiter came occupied the opposite seats. Meghana asked him to draw her picture. I fetched the sheet from the counter which was pre arranged by Mir chandani. He had finished and was shading before the coffe was on the table. We were stunned. She gave the picture to the Inspector. He was stunned. He saw that the picture was signed MA. It could be Mayur or Mayank. The Inspector rubbed his temples and leaned back in his chair. He took a fag and lighted it. He puffed once and said “ It proves that he is a professional artist.”

 But two minuts later Mir chandani came in and said “There is an accident patient on the table in the opposite clinic. He got a serious cut on leg and I lay him on the table with the help of the attender and the nurse. I am waiting for the doctor. The doctor is on the way from Delhi. It takes time. I must wait until he comes I am helpless” He said.  I turned to Dr. Mayank and said “Dr. Mayank why don’t you help?” Dr. Mayank did not answer but rose from the seat and walked into the opposite clinic. Manu Meghana Mir Chandani also followed. 

 It was a small clinic. There is only one room partitioned with a green curtain. The patient was lying on the white table behind the green curtain. Dr. Mayank went to the patient. He saw the 10 cm long incision.  Sutures are required he said and asked the attender  to bring cleaning material. He washed his hands cleanly with sanitizer and wore gloves.

Everybody was observing Manu moved away as she could not watch the entire process.  The attender gave Dr.Mayank the surgical kit. Dr.Mayank asked for the cleaning agent. The attender brought iodine.  He asked the attender to get chlorhexidine gluconate soap or antiseptic cleaning pads. The soap was brought. He cleaned the incison. He selected absorbable suture thred and local anaesthesia lidocaine. First he injected the lidocaine slowly later he started putting sutures neatly. In less then five minutes the process was finished. He took Manu and went away. The attender told Mir Chandani that there was nothing to suspect. The attender was in fact the doctor. Mir chandani was finished.

Mapuii finished “Bahut chaaloo nikalaa hein “said inspector Rathod. He took written complaint and photos from Mapuii. “we will investigate and inform you. You may go. He said. May and Mapuii took small faces and walked out.
