 Jal vayu apartment: The amber sun is singing aubade to the auspicious day. The sky looks like a marriage pandalin embellished with cloud pearls. The birds are trilling melodious marriage tunes. Kyra and Manu stood side by side on the terrace. Kyra is wearing half white kanchipattu silk saree with pink boarder. Manu is wearing a dark pink saree with white border. They look like twin stars on the terrace looking at sun.

 

 Despite Kyra’s resistance Manu bought sarees sandles and gifts to Kyra the previous night when they went shopping. She also bought a gold chain, a ring, pendants, rinkets and perfumes for kyras marriage. When kyra was resisting these marriage gifts Manu smelled the rat and scolded “Why should a girl going to be married refuse marriage gifts?” she shouted. Kyra was silent.   

 

Manu looked at Kyra and said “You look like an angel of beauty. Kyra thought to herself “Yes, an angel who could not go to heaven, spending her time on the earth painfully.” But she said “you look like angel of peace” said Kyra. Kyra looked quite disappointed and dull inspite of external appearance.  Manalini suspected that something went wrong between Kyra and Mayur. It seems that kyra is frustrated. She does not express her problem. Perhaps she thinks her problem can not be solved. Manu became direct “You look unhappy today.” “I am happy” said Kyra.

Kyravi Manu Mapuii and Meghana are at Mayank apartments. Kyravi’s flat was fully furnished. They all went into every room touched the walls, smelled the cupboards and felt the tiles and marbles. What a wonderful house said Meghana and Mapuii. Kyra and manu sat in the hall on the divan set. Meghana and Mapuii sat on the sofa. Manu said “ If Devaki came it would be happier.” You always think about Devaki, are you going to marry her or Dr. Mayank? Do you ever think of him? Asked Meghana.

 

“You have not introduced Dr. Mayank to me. Don’t you want to? You should have invited him the new flat.” Said Kyravi.  Today we should not disturb them. We have to leave them” Nobody expected that this marriage will take place in days. These circumstances in which this marriage is taking place leaves us confused.  I wanted to go to Rajastan to meet my parents.  I could not go. Said Manu. “No problem you invited them.They will reach this evening. Why do you worry? Said Mapuii.  My worry is about You Mapuii we have to work out a solution for your problem but we can’t until Devaki’s marriage is over.

 There is no time to listen to yor story. Kyra has to go to kolkatta to meet her parents.” we want to marry at the same time.  This evening onwords the hotel rooms are open for us bring your parents directly to Hotel Sri Krishna Grand Noida from Delhi railway station directly. Said Meghana. This is all because of the Muhurt said Mapuii.

 Panditji said “the murhuta was of great importance with respect to the horoscope of Devaki and Vishnu that it can not be missed.” Devaki’s parents who came from Mathura. All elders of the Shisodia family including Vishnu’s mother, younger brother and sister were also present there. They all liked early marriage. Panditji said “subhasya seegram” So Devaki’s marriage has been planned so urgently as a private ceremony in one of their hotles in Noida – Sri Krishna Grand.

 We must start now it is already 12.00 pm. My parents are coming by udapur express which reaches Delhi by 3.00 pm. I must be there when the train comes. They all decided to take lunch in Dwaraka. Kyra locked the door and gave it to Manu. Manu felt strange. Kyra gave her house documents and said “ please take this , this flat is a gift to you” said kyra. Mapuii and Meghana clapped. You can give it in my marriage. Kyra did not listen.

Manu picked up her parents from the New Delhi railway station and brought them to Sri Krishna grand, Noida by taxi. It is a three star hotel with large open space in the front with an attractive fountain. In the mddle of the fountain there is a pedestal. Lord Krishna’s idol with fife in his hand was on the pedestal.  Manu’s parents folded their hand at the statue and walked into the hotle. Except Devaki family all others stayed in the hotel.  Meghana, Mapuii, Manu, Kyra and a few more frineds were given rooms in the hotel. They were Luxury double rooms. Though two persons can stay in each room they locked all the rooms and stayed in one room.

 

The next day morning the Muhurt was at 7.56.  Devaki was going to be knotted. They were quite excited to see Devaki in bridal make up. Tomorrow is the life transforming day for her. They were unable to sleep the night before marriage.  After dinner at 8.00 “Mapuii this is the right time to tell your story. Said Meghana. Mapuii said that it is going to spoil the mood. But everybody insisted.

The churches and politicians indirectly favour polygamy. Look at the chief minister’s tweets.

 

Under these circumastances I am married to a man with nine wives as tenth wife. I waited for my turn but it did not come. I spent a few months like a life less doll and returned to my parents. My father told me that divorce is very difficult because he has to return the bride price. He has no money. Later I came to Delhi. I don’t accept that I am married. But they all say that I am married. All frineds consoled her.

 Kyra explained the sishodia’s background based on his surname.

 jodha, jahala, kachwaha, Kothari, sishodia and Minihas are all Suryavansi dynasities who once ruled the Merwar region. Minihas are Ikshwaku dynasity.

 Pawar , solanki, chouhan are Angnivamshi Rajputs.

Chandela, Bundela, Chavada are Chandravamsi Rajputs

Deshmukh, kapadia, Rana and Mehta are other important groups of Rajputs. 

 

Vishnu was the descendents of the king sishodia. Kyra concluded that mainly Rajputs are the descendents of either kings or warriors. We can make out the history from the surname. Everybody looked for Manalini’s surname. “Dongre” said Manu. “That means you are Chandravamsi Rajput.” declared Kyra. Manu smiled and said we are not regarded as Rajputs we are regarded as Bishnois.  Manu’s father Giriraj and mother Bhoomi asked them to sleep as it was midnight.  They all slept for the night.

                               

Sri Krishna Grand was decorated. The servers were given marriage dresses and gifts.  Devaki was shining like a star in the Marriage venue. Vishnu is wearing white Dhoti. Vishnu and Devaki looked like made for each other. There are filled with the same devotion for Krishna. Devaki was delighted with the Krishna statue in the Hotel. She felt the Lord Krishna came to her marriage and watching her. Vishnu tied the knot. Devaki is not a lonely woman now. She is the queen of an empire and a beloved husband. Kannahya went to near by temple and cried while all the guests are taking lunch. When they were parting they discovered that Kyra is missing.
